Who doesn’t love a bargain? For all you discount divas, there are loads of ways to shop smart in Dubai – from community facebook pages to good old Dubizzle and mammoth city wide sales (the next being Dubai Summer Surprises, 23rd July – 5th September, stick it in your diaries mamas!) – going on a good old spree doesn’t need to cause a credit card (and husband) meltdown.
When it comes to scoring awesome bargain finds – for bumps, babies, kids and mamas alike – check out the Sassy Mama Dubai team’s fave spots for sweet deals below.

Baby Bazaar DubaiBaby Bazaar
The best place to pick up pre-loved stuff, this monthly marketplace in Times Square is where all the savvy mamas go to off-load their no longer needed gear and pick up some serious bargains for the kiddos. From books to toys, clothing to strollers and almost everything in between – if you’re expecting a baby or just need to upgrade some of your kit then give this a go. With my youngest now graduating from baby to toddler stage, I recently had a big clear out of all the stuff that we’d no longer need (sob!), booked a table at Baby Bazaar with a friend and made a morning of it – drinking coffee, meeting mamas and clearing the clutter. After only a couple of hours our overflowing table was almost empty and there was a stash of cash in our little tin (an old Marks and Spencer biscuit tin which itself nearly got sold in the frenzy!). Rails were on hand to rent for displaying any items that needed to be hung. Every now and then I had a wander around the stalls to see if there were any bargains I wanted to snap up for my brood – and narrowly missed out on a super cute red radio flyer trike. Baby Bazaar also hosts a mix of local mama friendly brands selling everything from handmade clothes to cloth nappies and nursery accessories.
Be prepared to haggle, to barter, to get stuck in – the bazaar gets very busy!

Sauce outlet DubaiDubai Outlet Mall
Shop some of your favourite stores – from furniture to fashion, shoes to sunglasses – most of the high street names have a spot here and there are loads of bargains to be bagged.
Whenever the kids need a major wardrobe overhaul (quite often given the speed at which they’re growing), I head to the GAP section for all the basics and then treat myself to a whizz around Priceless (terrible name, great store) for discounted designer jeans – or a visit to one of our fave Dubai stores the S*UCE outlet. If  you want to bring the kids, there’s a good soft play area where they’ll be happy to romp (watched over by hubby) while you do the rounds. Check out Sassy Mama Sofia’s Guide To Outlet Mall for some more inspo!

Garderobe DubaiGarderobe
Housed in an old villa on Jumeirah Beach Road, Garderobe is a preloved designer store with a covetable collection of pieces – from the classic designers to lesser-known labels and one-of-a-kind throwback pieces (they also have a website to shop from if that’s more your thing – personally I love to touch and feel). New items are added each week, so repeat visits to the store (or the site) are recommended! Got some designer threads you no longer wear? These guys will also sell it for you mamas.

Mini Exchange DubaiMini Exchange
THE online place for designer and high street kids clothing without a hefty price tag, Mini Exchange is a virtual outlet for kids aged 0-12 and home to some of the most sought-after labels for your little fashionistas – a permanent sale site offering up to 80% off the original price. From Catimini to Zara Kids, Chloe to Pablosky, new products are added on a daily basis so make sure you keep a regular eye on what’s going on and get your kiddos kitted out in style without breaking the bank and all from the comfort of your couch!

Reems Closet DubaiReems Closet
This British owned pre-loved clothing store proves that old is gold, stocking a whole heap of designer gear for a fraction of its original price. Set inside two adjoining stores, Reems Closet sells an extraordinary range of coveted labels – from Pucci to Gucci and everything in between. I spied a pair of yellow jimmy choos in my size for less than AED 500. Bored of your designer clothes and accessories? The store will sell on your behalf for a percentage – allowing you to spend on some new (or old) threads

So Chic DubaiSo Chic
The Sassy Mama crew are big fans of the So Chic sales – a mix of preloved designer stuff curated here in Dubai (always in fab condition  – if you have anything you’d like to sell then contact them) and boutique items sourced in Italy and Paris by 2 very clever French mamas Alex and Emma. With a permanent base at uber cool furniture store d-tales, there are sales racks to peruse on a daily basis but it’s the big organised So Chic sale events that we hold out for when partnerships with brands including Benefit and Caudalie make for a really fun shopping experience with mini facials, brow shaping and all sorts of other cool services thrown in the mix. Handbags, shoes, clothes (we’re talking Louboutin, Chanel, Chloe all at a fraction of the usual cost) – a mama heaven but also a fab place to pick up some gorgeous new threads for the kiddos (and rub shoulders with some seriously sassy Frenchies).

The luxury closet Dubai

The Luxury Closet
If you’re looking for designer gear for less then this amazing online marketplace is one of the savviest ways to shop and save yourself a few dirhams. The go-to place for many of the region’s lucky ladies looking to sell their unwanted designer gifts or simply overhaul their wardrobe each season, you’re very likely to find totally new items (shoes, bags, sunglasses) as well as some of the latest designs. After a particular pair of shoes? a function on the website allows you to be alerted when they come in – too easy (and dangerous!).
