A Babyccino For Them & A Latte For Mama Please! Our Pick Of Some Of the Best Kid-Friendly Cafes In Town
Ahhhh coffee, how we love thee! Most mamas can’t get through the day without a cup of joe (or five double espressos) – whether after a night of no sleep or post-school pickup to make the homework/dinnertime/bathtime/bedtime routine that much more manageable. But relaxing over a big milky latte when you have fidgety kids in tow? Not always easy! Unless they’re distracted with their very own cup of deliciousness. We’re talking babyccinos – super cute little cups of warm milk, sometimes sprinkled with chocolate powder and often with a side of marshmallows – and here are some of our fave places to find them in Dubai…
Fast becoming a fave with many a mama (the ‘kids eat free’ deal on weekdays between 3pm – 7pm makes dinner time sooooo easy), this gorgeous little cafe in The Greens is super family friendly. With beautiful interiors, a quirky menu and – most importantly – delicious 100% organic coffee, supplied by RAW Coffee Company. Cosy up on one of their benches and order yourself a ‘Latte In A Cone’ (yes, really!) and a babyccino for the littles. Perfect.
To celebrate their 1st Birthday, Arrows And Sparrows is giving away free coffee and homemade coookies to all customers on Wednesday, October 4th. See you there!

Want to feel at home but also want to be away from home? BookMunch on Al Wasl Square is the place to head, mama! A multi-award-winning concept where you can combine a great cup of coffee with the chance to get stuck into a few books with your littlies, a one of its kind in Dubai. The walls of this charming café are lined with books – from adult tomes to kid’s stories – and you can easily find a cosy corner in which to sip mugs of coffee and cute little babyccinos while enjoying scrummy homemade nibbles (the carrot, courgette and walnut cake is a must).
And there’s more… on weekends BookMunch serves a delicious brunch where your littles can eat at half price plus delicious and healthy catering for birthday parties and fabulous school munch boxes too!
All Mamas can have their first coffee for free – valid until mid-October (only on weekdays). All you have to do is say: ‘I’m Sassy’. Perfect!

Lime Tree Café is a firm favourite with mamas around the city for many reasons – not least because it serves a great coffee and slice of cake!
Little customers are looked after & welcomed with a dedicated brekkie menu including 100% organic free range eggs. They are now also serving up a special kid’s lunch menu (with a free side & drink of choice!) which includes gluten-free options – perfect for an after-school stopover. And not just that all of their 3 cafes have ‘fun corners’ aimed at keeping the kiddos entertained, allowing mama to sip her coffee in peace. On your way out make sure to stop by at the bakery for a healthy, no guilt, ‘pick me up treat’ for later.

This lovely little Al Serkal cafe not only shares its beautiful space with Parkour DXB and Urban Yoga but is also committed to serving up healthy but completely scrummy food and seriously, SERIOUSLY good coffee. We love the Nitro Cold Brew or the Hapi Affogato with a side order of organic milk homemade ice-cream. And make sure to try their bone broth too – another fabulous pick-me-up!

A cafe on our favourite stretch of beach?! Perfect! Not only is Park House super well located but it also happens to serve up some of the most delicious food in town, all made from the very best ingredients. From breakfast to lunch and more, if you’ve got sandy feet and salty hair it doesn’t matter here as the vibe is cool and relaxed. Pop in for a post-swim coffee and their version of avocado on toast – yummy!!

There’s nothing that helps an early start or a tricky day of whingey kids more than being surrounded by lots of lovely greenery while sipping on your cup of joe. The Roseleaf Café is a really sweet vintage style spot in the Dubai Garden Centre – with tables dotted about in a greenhouse and indoors too (when the weather cools they often have tables outside). The RAW coffee is delicious, the homemade cakes irresistible and the setting just lovely. A box of toys will keep any ankle biters occupied AND there are fish to go and see in the little aquarium just around the corner. We love.

When there’s coffee on tap (literally… on tap), we are there, mamas! Oh and if there are some hunky surfer dudes hanging about too that generally helps too… The Surf House is owned and run by super sassy dad Scott who’s created a little beachy haven just near to Jumeirah Public Beach/Burj Al Arab where you can grab something delicious to eat, drink scrummy coffee and sign yourself or the kids up for surf lessons too. It’s chilled, it’s cosy, it’s near the beach – it ticks many boxes mamas!

Serious coffee drinkers won’t be disappointed by a visit to Tom&Serg – and now we mention it, neither will serious foodies either. But it isn’t just the menu that makes this Al Quoz warehouse-style café worth a visit, as you’ll find a small kiddie area at the back of the upstairs area too, with books, LEGO bricks, and a couple of play mats. There’s a small table and chairs too, making it possible for the littlies in your party to decamp and enjoy their babycinos together.
