Babies
Princess Charlene of Monaco
Just before Christmas, Princess Charlene of Monaco gave birth to twins a boy and a girl – Jacques and Gabriella. At the start of January 2015, a photograph of the family of four was finally released to officially announce the birth of the twins. Jacques will be the future Prince of Monaco, because of the Mediterranean principality’s male inheritance laws.
Holly Branson
Another set of boy/girl twins were born, this time in the UK! Holly Branson, the daughter of Richard Branson, and her husband Fred Andrews welcomed son and daughter Artie and Etta. Holly’s brother Sam Branson will also become a father in 2015.
Zoe Saldana
Across the pond in the USA, actress Zoe Saldana took to her Instagram account, three weeks after giving birth, to reveal the names she and her husband Marco Perego have given their twin boys – Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio Perego.
Alicia Keys
On the 27th Dec, Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz welcomed their second child, Genesis Ali Dean, into the world. She took to Instagram writing: “The joy of joy is joy!! It’s a boy!! we are so grateful!! #blessings!!” That’s 2 boys for Alicia!
Blake Lively
I feel like the shortest pregnancy in history was that of Gossip girl actress Blake lively and Ryan Reynolds. Social media went into overdrive as she gave birth early to a daughter. Welcome baby Violet!
Kourtney Kardashian
Okay, so this wasn’t in 2015 but we couldn’t miss Kourtney Kardashian off the list. She gave birth to the latest member of her family on 14 December 2014 and there had been much speculation surrounding the name of her baby boy ever since. Kourtney has finally ended the rumours by confirming the baby’s name on Instagram. She wrote alongside a cute pic: “Madly in love with my little Reign Aston Disick.”
Pregnancies
Jessical Biel
Is she, isn’t she? Speculation over Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake expecting their first child has been rife with no official comment from the couple. However, it’s now become clear that Jessica is pregnant as she has a baby belly. Either that or she’s swallowed a beach ball.
Molly Sims
Model and actress Molly Sims is pregnant with her second child, which she announced on Instagram. Posing with her son holding up 2 black boards with his age being 2 years and another board saying 4 months.
Keira Knightley
British actress Keira Knightley been seen out and about since announcing that she’s also expecting her first child with musician husband James Righton. And who can forget her gorgeous Valentino bump-friendly dress at the Oscars?
Jennifer Love-Hewitt
On the 7th January Jennifer Love-Hewitt revealed that she is expecting a second child mid-2015. She already has a daughter, Autumn who was born in Nov 2013.
Liv Tyler
Liv Tyler also took to Instagram to share a rather uncharacteristic photo of her blossoming baby belly, looking the picture of contentment ahead of her second pregnancy. It’s the first child that she’s had with boyfriend Dave Gardner.
Kate Middleton
And the award for the most anticipated pregnancy of 2015 goes to the Royals, William and Kate. Due in April, we can’t control our excitement – we just need to know if baby number 2 will be a Prince or Princess!
And Finally, Robbie Williams
The most memorable social media birth announcement goes to British singer Robbie Williams who posted YouTube and Instagram footage of his wife, Ayda Field throughout her labor and birth all while singing his songs to her on camera. The couple named their second child, a boy, Charlton Valentine – he’s surely going to be a heart breaker.
