Sassy Mama Tips For Creating a Gallery Wall

gallery wall dcgThe smalls are on school holidays and it’s been blissful to have no school run each morning (almost as good as being on an actual holiday somewhere!). I’m hoping to use the time to get some things done around the house. Let’s see how that pans out. One of the items on my long to-do list is to sort out my living room. The wall that our TV sits against has a whole bunch of empty space that needs to be filled and I’m considering a gallery wall. I’ve seen so many inspiring images online but they all have a mismatched, almost haphazard style which is one of those things that I love to admire in other people’s homes but I’m not entirely sure my A-type personality will survive it on a daily basis. I may have to push my boundaries for this one.

Have a go at creating your own gallery wall mamas – choose your very favourite pieces of art and mix and match with family photos, kiddo art, box frames etc –  hang the things you love and that have special meaning to you. If you don’t want to go too mismatched then use the same colour for the frames to pull everything together. Plan out the placement of your gallery wall pieces by taping paper cut outs of each size frame but don’t worry if you don’t stick to it exactly!

Here are a few of my favorites so far as some inspiration for you…have fun mamas!
