We tend to think of Choitrams as the middle way for those who find Spinneys a bit too posh but aren’t’ fond of Union Coop’s no-frills set up. As an International supermarket Choitrams won’t disappoint expat mamas from Western countries in their quest for cereal, sodas and dairy. They have also recently introduced UK supermarket TESCO branded products – perfect for anyone with a touch of homesickness. The chain is owned by an Indian family and a lot of our Indian mamas find it a great place to shop for their everyday needs to cook dishes from home for their fams.
Sassy Mama Tip: Choitrams has a really good ready- made hummus in their deli section. Totally beats that of Carrefour, Spinneys and other supermarkets by a mile.
