With an excellent reputation as one of Dubai’s best primary schools, Horizon is one of only 12 in the emirate to have been ranked ‘outstanding’ by the KHDA this year. Parents rave about the warm and friendly atmosphere and the Horizon vision which values the importance of reading and the significance of structured play, physical development and non-academic subjects such as music and drama to stimulate brain development and learning. A flexible home-work policy depending on the needs and abilities of each child is not for everyone but is firmly upheld by the school as the best way to inspire and educate young minds.
Unusually (for Dubai) the Headteacher has been in post for 14 years, giving the school a high level of continuity and firmly putting into practice the Horizon mission to nurture well-rounded happy and confident pupils and also to support pupils with additional learning needs . From September 2014 students will have automatic entry to Star International in year 7 as both schools are now owned by the same investor.
Fees for Horizon range from between 20,934 AED to 29,319 AED per year, (age dependent) – making the school very good value for its curriculum and KHDA rating.
Horizon is planning to add a further 300 places in September 2014, increasing the FS1 group from 1 class to 5 and continuing with 5 classes up t Year 2 and then 4 classes from years 3 to 6.
