Part of the GEMS Education Group, JPS is another of the 12 schools to have been rated ‘outstanding’ by the KHDA this year and is another of the very over-subscribed primary schools in Dubai. Teaching the English curriculum to over 1300 students – sizable for a primary which can be off-putting for some parents used to smaller schools, the school actually manages to maintain a ‘small school atmosphere’ and has been described by parents as ‘warm and caring’. The quality of teaching here is high and students feel very supported by their teachers – there is also a high level of help provided to pupils with special education needs with the GEM’s ‘premium’ schools investing in SEN provision.
JPS has a modern campus and some excellent facilities including a partly shaded 25-metre swimming pool, infant learning pool, garden, mosque, library and discovery centre as well as a multi-purpose sports hall, gymnasium and all weather synthetic turf pitch.
JPS fees are on the higher side, starting at 32,775 AED per annum for Foundation Stage 1, rising quickly to 41,315 AED from FS2 through to Grade 6.
