Beautifully done interiors at Amongst Few Cafe call for a few Instagram pics, mamas! Located in Palm Strip mall in Jumeirah 1, this is the kinda place that you fall in love with at first sight. The food here is varied and borrows inspiration from different parts of the world including Thai, Italian, Portuguese, British and Japanese (yum). Portion sizes here are generous (get the kiddos something to share). Good service, cosy ambiance and great food, what’s not to love?

Black Tap is the answer to summer holidays, tackling the heat and keeping the kids happy too! This famed NYC Restaurant led by Michelin-Starred Chef, Joe Isidori, has made its way to Dubai. Here’s a place where you can treat your kids to gorgeously gluttonous, jewel candy laden milkshakes while you can enjoy a scrummy burger with a chilled beer. It’s a win/win, mamas.

We love it when we find a genuinely family friendly eating spot, where our little ones are just as welcome and accommodated for as we are, so we’re uber excited about Café Confetti which has just opened its doors in JLT. With super cute interiors, very friendly staff and an Italian bistro-style menu – this is a great place to stop for a relaxed lunch or brekkie. And the thing we love most? Dedicated kids play space complete with toys and books and space to lie on the floor (because that’s what kids do sometimes!). Go for coffee and cake while they play or sip on a free babyccino. Perfecto!

We waited eagerly for news of Nick & Scott’s new venture and have since heard amazing things about Folly, their latest opening. With 2 outdoor terraces and the most stunning views over the Madinat waterways, this is somewhere to come for a cocktail as the sun sets, for a relaxed lunch or a special supper – there are menus to suit every occasion (the Communal Table, on a private terrace, can accommodate up to 12 of your most fabulous friends, while The Windtower offers a secluded table for two – perfect for a date night with wow!).
and dishes bursting with the flavour (plus local ingredients where possible – yay!) and finesse for which both chefs have become known. And we love the décor – exposed brick, natural wood and earthy tones. Gorgeous.
Special mention for the Prosecco Pop, a raspberry ice-lolly dipped in prosecco – um…amazing!

Walk into the Graze Gastro Grill with your head held high (literally, as this place has one of the most interesting ceilings we have seen!) and prepare yourself for a steak feast like no other. This super fun and relaxed resto serves up the highest quality meat and a selection of desserts to die for. It’s not cheap, but it’s so worth it.

Il Burro Tuscan Bistro is one of the latest Italian fine dining restaurants to join the Dubai’s bustling food scene, offering Tuscan cuisine with a modern twist where sourced ingredients follow the biodynamic philosophy of the brand. Serving a scrummy selection of organic wines, olive oil, seasonal vegetables and honey all sourced directly from the Il Borro estate in Tuscany (seriously, can it get anymore authentic!?), the restaurant is located within the Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel on the Turtle lagoon – a heavenly location that’s just perfect for a special date.

We love the Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel, not least of all because of all the incredible dining options available on site. If you’re a sushi fan then this one’s for you, mamas, as Katsuya by Starck serves up all of the classics but with a unique twist – Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi’s signature dishes include scrummy sounding options including Baked Crab Hand Rolls and Yellowtail Sashimi With Jalapeno – YUM! And then there are Philippe Starck’s sleek and sultry interiors which, combined with sushi from heaven, makes for a dinner date option we’re lusting after.

LIMA took London by storm and is now doing the same in Dubai – and here’s why you should go! Authentically Peruvian but also brilliantly contemporary, Lima is fun, relaxed, stylish and oh-so-beautiful (the interiors are an Instagrammers dream – think bright turquoise walls, murals, and loads of natural materials sourced from peru). And as for the food? Each plate is like a colourful work of art complete with edible flowers and pretty dressings, simply divine. Bursting with flavour, bursting with colour and with a daily Happy Hour from 4pm -8pm daily (that means 50% on selected house drinks, mamas!), a visit to Peru, via LIMA, is an absolute must.
Psst… 3-course lunch with an option of white, red, half pint Peroni or soft drink for AED 120? Yes please! Available Sunday to Thursday.

Wax on, wax off, mamas! Karate Kid fans (and actually anyone who loves Asian food and beautifully colourful interiors), this resto is one of the most exciting to open recently in our desert city. Located at the 9th floor of the Media One Hotel in Dubai Media City. From pho-nomenal Vietnamese soups to dim sum, sashimi and Thai specialities, we want to try it all. And the separate bar area, Cobra Kai, will keep you smiley and chilled with happy hour drinks from AED 25 and exotic, cleverly named cocktails. An instagrammers dream, a foodie heaven, a fun place for a night out, Mr. Miyagi say ‘food make miso happy’ and we couldn’t agree more.

We couldn’t be more excited about this new resto – brought to us by the same guys behind Bistro Des Arts (a huge Sassy fave, read our review here). Publique recreates the magic, fun and chilled vibe of an alpine ski chalet (yes, here in the desert!) complete with a traditional wooden bar, Gondola DJ booth and chalet style terrace (granted, it doesn’t snow much but there are amazing views over the Arabian Gulf). And as for the food? We’re talking fondue cheese, Raclette (more melty cheesy, yum), hot stone cooking and delicious cold cuts plus plenty of French fare and the most amazing sounding desserts including Alpine apple tart and chocolate brownies. Ok and there are cocktails too – Avalanche anyone? Definitely on our date night list.

Via Veneto, on Mohammad Bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai, is the latest Italian resto to check out, mamas. With rustic-chic interiors, a lovely outdoor terrace plus downstairs area with a casual cafe vibe (perfect for catching up with the fam over brekkie, lunch and dinner – the pizza’s are AMAZING) and a dining room/bar upstairs for a full à la carte menu with a glass of something chilled -perfecto! Our tip? Head over for breakfast with the littles and tuck into a Cappucino Cold Coffee with a stack of Ricotta Pancakes… buon appetito!
