Step 1: Colour correct
Giorgio Armani Master Corrector Dh180, Harvey Nichols
Conceal dark circles with a corrector under your eyes first. The corrector counteracts the uneven and tone under the eyes. It also creates a base for your concealer to go on top. If you have an olive skin tone, then the pink shade works really well, and if you have a cool skin tone, the orange-apricot colour works best. Dab it under the eyes and blend. Don’t worry if you still see the concealer, the next step will help with that!
Step 2: Conceal and highlight
Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Concealer Dh100, Sephora
Because colour correctors don’t seamlessly blend in like second skin, you need to dab on concealer that is a shade lighter than your skin on top to get that bright under eye effect. If you’re looking to highlight the under eye area, then opt for a concealer that is two shades lighter. Pat that on in the areas that need concealing and blend it out with a damp sponge for a flawless finish.
Step 3: Set and bake
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder Dh105, Areej
Next, keep the creamy concealer in place with a setting powder – preferably one that is just a hint of a shade lighter. Use a soft fluffy brush to dust on the powder wherever you’ve applied the concealer or you can bake. Baking is when you leave the the setting powder on the under-eyes for a few minutes before you dust it off. This technique allows for brightened and even more highlighted under-eyes.
