Medaf Studio Is The New Community Space You Need To Check Out Pronto
We’re all for spaces which encourage creativity and freedom – particularly when they’re not just for kids (why should they get ALL the fun?!), so the new Medaf Studio in Uptown Mirdif Mall has got us feeling super stoked.
A fabulous place offering fun and educational workshops for children and adults plus spaces for a variety of art activities (including a unique room where the walls and floor act as an open canvas…possibly our idea of heaven and perfect for any kids who LOVE to redecorate the house with their crayons and paints!), Medaf Studio is all about developing skills and having fun too.
But there’s more to it; scientific reports indicate that young people (we count ourselves in this bracket too) who participate regularly in the arts are more likely to flourish academically plus develop a sense of innovation that’ll see them becoming well-rounded adults. Perfect. At Medaf, entertainment is used to educate but not in an obvious way – this place is all about creating your own masterpiece, be it a drawing, sculpture, collage or even a book – without boundaries and with plenty of encouragement and inspiration.
Walk-in anytime to use the gorgeous sunlit Studio, break all the rules and splatter/scatter and splash to your heart’s content in the Expression Room or sign up for a Medaf Workshop (from pottery to watercolour and even furniture painting – we want to do it all). There are qualified artists and art assistants on hand to help out, a café on site for catching up on emails over a coffee while your little ones are busy having fun and they also do birthday party packages and school holiday camps too – hooray!
Medaf is set to become one of our favourite places in Dubai, providing that much-needed space for the whole fam to get crafty and arty. Time to unleash your inner Picasso, mamas!
