Dubai Sports World just opened its doors yesterday to this summer’s ultimate indoor sporting destination. As a bit of a fitness fanatic myself I obviously had to bring the brood to check it out and it was well worth a visit.
With 4 football pitches, 4 basketball courts, 2 tennis courts, 6 badminton courts and even a cricket wicket– all you’ve got to do to stay fit this summer is take things inside. Scorching temperatures are no longer a reason to give up your favourite sport in Dubai or let the kids indulge in endless tv hours (sorry mamas!). Form a family team and book yourselves in for a game!
There is lots of fun stuff for the little ones too. While I got my running done- pounding laps on the 400 m track that goes around the pitches- the kids hit up the Wire World Adventure Park. They had such a good time doing rounds on the elevated mobile course and finished it off at the thrilling bungee trampoline literally screaming out with excitement that when it was time to drag the away from the scene they literally had to be prized off the equipment – we will definitely be back.
Dubai Sports World has partnered up with Technogym this year to bring you a fully equipped free-of-charge (we know!) gym to hit up whenever you feel like it. The skate park will be open all summer too with experts offering lessons for all levels. Time to dust off that old board mama! I’m definitely also going to try out Against Graviti, the street work out classes happening twice daily this summer. Sounds too cool to miss.
Football, Tennis, Cricket, Basketball and all sorts of summer camps are available for the 5 year olds and up. Check out their site for bookings and more information and make the most of this awesome opportunity for the whole family to have some good wholesome indoor fun for a change.
