Mother’s Day must-haves, even if you have to buy them yourself…
It may be yet another Hallmark holiday, but I, for one, think Mother’s Day is worth celebrating – especially in Dubai. Like me, perhaps many of you have left your family, friends and all semblance of a career to follow your husband to new career prospects and sunnier climes. And while I don’t resent him for a second (except on those rare twice hourly occasions when the kiddos are being particularly feral – not that it would be any different back in Blighty!) it’s always nice to be appreciated.

I love that Monica Vinader’s gorgeous pendants and bracelets are customizable – perfect for cute pictures or messages from the little ones or even a little love note from hub and the huge variety means there’s a price point to suit every pocket.

These might just be the sweetest treats in Dubai. Available in Ripe stores, trendy French bistro boutique Comptoir 102 and at the Mirzam factory in Alkersal Avenue in Al Quoz, these beautifully presented chocolate bars look almost too good to eat. Starting from just AED 37.

Well they do say you should say it with flowers! I can’t get enough of Gucci’s watercolour prints and Ounass (2700 AED) offers a same day delivery straight to your door. Perfect for hubs that might have left it to the last minute/totally forgotten!
