British Columbia Canadian School

British Columbian Canadian School

BCCS Dubai is a new Canadian curriculum school opening in Dubai Investments Park in September 2017. The British Columbian (B.C.) Ministry of Education curriculum is highly regarded by education experts and parents both in Canada and around the globe, In fact, the BC curriculum is the leading English language curriculum according to the PISA 2015 results and students lead the world in the reading results, are second in science and 6th in Maths amongst 72 nations. The thing that makes this learning system so interesting? The curriculum offers freedom to teachers to make their lessons come alive for students and is highly adaptable, ensuring that skills are learned and retained. This isn’t just about preparing students for a test but rather about preparing them for life – teachers will assess each child individually to ensure that they are progressing rather than by using standard tests. It’s a fairly liberal approach but the results speak for themselves.

But it’s not all about academic results because this system recognises that there’s so much more to education and to helping raise rounded, well-balanced children. The BC Curriculum focuses on developing the whole child, providing for each child as an individual, to ensure that they reach their full potential, become good communicators and thinkers who are both personally and socially skilled to thrive in the 21st century.

British Columbian Canadian School in Dubai will be a community based school with a family feel. Parents will be welcomed to get involved in the school in as many ways as they would like, there’ll be strong communication ties between home and school and an open door policy should parents wish to speak with the staff at anytime. The school is currently offering free assessments to all children. There are also Founders’ Fees available and 10% discount for all subsequent years at the school.
