Sarah Jessica Parker shares her new shoe collection and a personal message with Sassy Mama Dubai

As avid Sex and the City addicts, one of our fantasies came true last month. We were lucky enough to meet Sarah Jessica Parker, actress, producer, ultimate Sassy Mama and now fashion designer to chat about what it’s like being a mama and about her award-winning shoe collection, SJP. She even left us a very special message for all you Sassy Mamas at the bottom of this post…pinch us mamas, we’re still dreaming!

Curated specifically for ladies in Dubai, Sarah Jessica teamed up with shoe-in sartorialist George Malkemus III for a dreamy collection oriented around our lifestyles here in the desert city. With feminine grosgrain ribbon motifs and classic shapes that’ll easily take you from day to night, she knows exactly what we want and need – and mamas, we need (and want!).

Unsurprisingly, there are a number of amazing pairs that we’ve fallen in love with. From the classy floral Etta  to the playful scalloped Bobbi and, of course, the suitably sensual Carrie, we’re clearing room in our closet for some brand new babies. For those of you who aren’t so hot on heels but still wanting to get in on the SJP action, you’ll be able to find wedges, slippers and boots alongside the sky-scraping fare. But now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for – what was she like?

Well mamas she was lovely. So lovely we could have stayed and chatted with her for hours (but sadly that wasn’t possible). She was also teeny tiny, like a little fairy in a very beautiful dress paired with some of her very own SJP boots – smiley and twinkly and brilliant at making us feel relaxed (especially when Kaya got so starstruck she forgot her own name – oops!).

She was genuinely interested in us, our families and our stories – oh and wanted to know all about our favourite haunts in Dubai, having explored the souks and found all sorts of trinkets and treasures she loved! We asked her about juggling a career with kids and she told us how lucky she felt to have people to help her take care of her little ones – something many of us in Dubai are lucky to have too. We have a slight (ok huge) mama crush on Sarah Jessica and also on her fabulous shoe collection and we love her message to all our Sassy Mamas….
