ArteTo market, to market…
ARTE, the Makers Market, is hosting a Halloween special tomorrow. It’s the season, mama, so bring your little one for some suitably scary times. There’ll be Halloween-themed sweet treats, fun and games for the whole family. You may even find accessories for your costume for the actual day… You can also pick up a local pumpkin from awesome British mama Catherine McEvoy who is raising money for a very good cause.

Where: Times Square Center

Reform Social & GrillShop ‘til you drop
Shop, eat and drink at Reform Social and Grill. There’ll be bubbles (goodness knows we need a glass or two this week, mama!) as well as 14 of our favourite vendors – and lots of space for the kids to have fun in. It’s time to start gearing up for the holiday season!

Kidz VenturePaint with all the colours…
… of the wind! If you’ve got a creative teen that is training to be the next Picasso, why not enrol them in an Expressive Art workshop? The class size is small (up to 15 students!) and spots are AED300. This one is suitable for kids aged 12 to 15. Their mixed media piece will definitely take pride of place at home!

When: Saturday, 24 October, 10am-12 noon
Where: Kidz Venture, Double Tree by Hilton, JBR

World Tourism DayHoliday, celebrate!
It’s World Tourism Day and there’s a free community event over on Al Marjan Island. There’ll be a cultural village complete with talented henna artists, Arabic story tellers, face-painting and even an outdoor cinema with screenings of classic family movies. Did we forget to mention there’ll be a display of fireworks to round off the evening? Sounds like this one will be a hoot and great way to get away for a bit!

When: Thursday, 22 October & Friday, 23 October, 2pm-10pm
Where: Al Marjan Island

Gulf Bike WeekStart your engines
It’s Gulf Bike Week(end) over at the Dubai Autodrome, so bring your mini petrol heads over to check it out. There’ll be motorcycles and music and food trucks (those have wheels too…), so it’s definitely one not to miss! Tickets are AED 70 in advance, or AED 90 at the door for a day pass.
