It may not be modern or flashy but Hatta Fort has to be one of our favourite family friendly breaks. First up, the temperature in the gorgeous Hajar Mountains is a few degrees cooler than down in Dubai (and only an hour away) so you can make the most of oodles of green open spaces, rocky hikes and even activities including archery, tennis and swimming in rock feature pools.
