UAE Staycations -Hatta Fort Hotel in the Hajar Mountains

Hatta Fort Hotel
It may not be modern or flashy but Hatta Fort has to be one of our favourite family friendly breaks. All of the chalet-style rooms look out over the mountains and gardens where peacocks roam – blissful! Our Editor checked it out so read up on the full review if you need a little more convincing mamas!

A flight away…

Per Aquum Niyama, The Maldives
Yes mama, The Maldives. Utter paradise – even better than it looks in the pics (check out Sofia’s review for some serious wanderlust). Per Aquum Niyama is the ultimate family friendly Maldivian paradise – the problem with this option is that coming home might prove tricky (our Ed almost tied herself to a coconut tree, it was that good). On it’s own secluded island, Niyama is everything you could want and more. With a Scott Dunn-run ‘Explorers’ kids club that includes a splash pad, cooking classes, tonnes of activities and excursions, you may not get to see your kids for the entire stay. Stay in a beachside pavilion with private pool and head over to one of the 2 resort pools for incredible views of the ocean while you swim, spend a morning at the LIME spa, ride around on bikes, enjoy barefoot bliss and just relax, mamas! Yes, it may be expensive – even with discount – but so SO worth it (we’d do anything just to go again…).

Valid until Friday, 30 September, 2016, 20% discount on a stay of 3 – 6 nights or 30% discount on a stay of 7 nights or more, including daily breakfast. Starting from AED 2,252 per room per night. Rates are subject to a 10% service charge, 12% goods & services tax and a green tax of USD 6 per night. Terms & Conditions apply.

salalah resort

Salalah Rotana Resort – Escape The Heat Holiday
A fab fact about Salalah? This Southern region of Oman is just a short flight from Dubai (less than 2 hours) but you feel a million miles away – particularly because of the weather! The best time to visit is during the monsoon season (July-September), when the landscape is green and you can expect some rain, fog and all that stuff that we miss so much at this time of year in Dubai! If you’re craving some outdoor time and don’t want a beach holiday over Eid, then Salalah is perfect – and a stay at the 5 Star Salalah Rotana Resort which has been carved from desert rock and blends beautifully with the landscape – and which has every possible facility you could want (pool, fitness club, spa, 4 restos to choose from and kids club).

Valid until Friday, 30 September, 2016, from AED 1,999 per person including 2 night’s accommodation, return flights from Dubai, breakfast and all taxes/surcharges.
