The best family holiday is just a six-hour flight away

Is it just me or is it a nightmare trying to find the perfect place to stay when booking a family holiday? We always want a villa setup: separate rooms for the kids, private pool, kitchen to feed the kids at any time they demand….. but then we also want the luxury from a hotel: cleaners every day, evening turn-down service, kids entertainment, lots of different restaurants to choose from and a spa. How do you choose?!

If you’re like me, then I have found the answer to your prayers and from now until April the weather there is amazing!

The Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas has thought of everything! It’s the perfect family getaway, taking the best parts of a hotel and villa and putting them together!

Our two-bedroom, private pool villa was so beautiful; huge bedrooms and en suite bathrooms and even an outdoor shower! A well-stocked kitchen, including a Nespresso coffee machine, fridge, washing machine (they even give you washing powder), tumble dryer, iron etc means this really is a home away from home.

And outside, there is a great private splash pool, not too deep for the kids and big enough for fun with inflatable pool toys!

When leaving your villa, you can pick up free bikes (they even have baby seats for any kids who aren’t able to ride) and explore the amazing tropical hotel including two pools to choose from, sand pits, toys, table tennis, table football – the list is never ending! You’re able to use the facilities at Anantara Vacation Club too, which are just perfect.

When you’re ready for a bit of me time, drop the kids off at the kids clubs where they do arts and crafts, cooking and playing plus loads of other activities, and book yourself into the amazing spa. This will really recharge your batteries. Or if you want something more fun, we highly recommend the Thai cooking class with a trip to the market to buy the ingredients.

If you’re a family with young children, you will love it here. They really have thought of everything and not to mention the food – amazing! Huge breakfast stations and lots of restaurants on your doorstop.

All in all this was our best family holiday and with Phuket just a 6-hour flight away I cannot recommend this resort enough!
