A few of our favourite things to do this weekend
Woohoo it’s finally the weekend! Leave the calendar to us because Sassy Mama loves everything that’s going on around town and here are our favourite picks…
Good news, mama! Dubai Marina Mall’s Dome Atrium is transformed into an interactive Play Zone featuring child-friendly fun and entertainment activities. If you’re looking for a place for the restless littles to spend the whole day, this is it! A paradise for kids, the Play Zone will feature an arts and crafts section, Play Area and even a Baby Soft Play GYM for the minis. Puppet shows, face painting and balloon artists will also be on hand to ensure the young ones are kept entertained during their time at the Play Zone. What’s more, from 11-13 August Chalkie The Chimp will be making his home in the Play Zone – don’t miss the chance to meet the talking monkey!

If this summer heat is too much for you, how about an evening of short film screenings with the fam? The selected short films look at the dark side of summer, from loss to loneliness, heartbreak to horror – something different from the tropical vibe!

Whether you’ve recently moved to Dubai or just looking to get a better hang of how things work around the desert city, this get-together event will give you useful tips on topics such as local etiquette, personal finance, tenancy rights, education and the social scene. While mamas and papas take advantage of open Q&A sessions and key-note speeches, kiddies will make new friends at the play areas and get creative at the arts and craft stations. Don’t miss out this great chance to meet other expats, network and get to know your new city better!
