A few of our favourite things to do in & around Dubai this week

One more week until our favourite holiday of the year! From The Chocolate Room at Fairmont Dubai and Peter Pan Pantomime at DUCTAC Theatre, to Winter Garden Market at Al Habtoor City, here are some of our favourite festive activities before the big day!

The Chocolate Room at Fairmont Dubai

This festive season, take the kiddos for a trip to the first ever pop-up chocolate room in town at Fairmont Dubai. It’s the time to indulge, mamas! All the chocolate is courtesy of Valrhona (yum!), so be sure to enjoy all the sweet treats on offer: from the finest single origin chocolates to creative cakes and special afternoon tea, the whole family will looooove this delightful dessert room this winter.

Don’t forget to snap up some festive hampers and gifts to give to friends and family, or even for under the tree at home, perfect for any chocoholics.

Peter Pan: The Never Ending Story

The story of Peter Pan just never gets old, just like the magical young boy himself! H2 are back in Dubai for their 10th Annual Pantomime Season with their spectacular magic adventure Peter Pan, told in classic British pantomime style! With Sumptuous sets, colourful costumes, musical magic, fabulous flying, comedy capers, and full of audience participation, this show is the ideal festive treat for all the family!

Dubai Marina Music Festiva

Dubai Marina Music Festival

Dubai Marina Mall Festival is back with an exciting line-up this year, including a host of new talents and crowd favourites from 2015. Expect also Open Mic, DJ sets and street performers and various local and international talent. The best bit? Food trucks and a music bazaar for music lovers to browse and purchase original music, music equipment and memorabilia. Helping Dubai’s up-and-coming talent to reach the ears of many, Dubai Marina Music Festival also gives musicians a chance to showcase their tracks at the bazaar. ‘Tis the season of joyful music in the desert city!

When: Thursday, 15 December – Saturday, 24 December (5:30-9pm)
Where: Dubai Marina, the promenade surrounding Dubai Marina Mall & Marina Walk

Winter Garden Market

Visit the Versailles Gardens of The St. Regis Dubai and make this festive season even more spectacular for families. Sample an exclusive selection of festive food and beverage menus by renowned outlets at The St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai-Al Habtoor City, The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City and the Atrium. From Arts and Crafts Festive Stalls, Food and Beverage Stalls, Outdoor Festive Cinema, to Cookies and Gingerbread Decoration and Santa’s Grotto, the Winter Garden Market will sure make one of our favourite hang out spot with the fam!

Improvised Storytime: The Gift of Giving

Who doesn’t love a fun, interactive storytime for the weekend? Head over to The Courtyard Playhouse for a storytelling session of improvised tales and a few old classics, playfully twisted into stories of giving. Celebrate for a gift of fun, meaning, play and spontaneity. Interactive fun for the whole family! Make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early to save your spot.
