Kick off the first week of November with some of the best events in town! From kids friendly screenings at Reel Cinemas and a Fashion Swap Shop, to Halloween at Irish village, there’s LOTS happening in the desert city that you shouldn’t miss!
Kids Friendly Screenings at Reel Cinema
This October, treat your kiddies to a fun-filled cinema experience, jam packed with blockbusters including The Secret Life of Pets and Storks to look forward to – topped off with a range of fun activities! Taking place every Saturday between 15 October to 5 November across all Reel Cinemas outlets, the littles can enjoy face painting, stick-on tattoo and colouring stations. Sassy Mama tips: mini ones below the age of five can also be treated to a free movie before 11am!

Fashion Swap Shop Night Market
Fashion Swap Shop is back! From a range of fashion stalls selling fashion accessories and independent boutiques, to unique designers, pre-loved, vintage, there’s something for everyone! And it only gets better – expect FREE mini manicures and FREE make-overs that awaits you! Bring your unwanted items and swap them for things you want at their huge swapping zone. Reform Social & Grill will be open throughout the market for some alfresco dining.

RED Performance at thejamjar
Head over to thejamjar and enjoy ‘Red’, a Tony award-winning play written by John Logan about legendary artist, Mark Rothko. Taking place from 1958 – 1960, the fascinating play explores the reasons behind why Rothko accepted and alter declined a lucrative commission for a series of murals at the famous Four Seasons restaurant in New York. This innovative production will take the audience inside Rothko’s Bowery studio and features live re-creation on stage of one of Rothko’s masterpieces.

Nightmare on IMG Boulevard
Make this Halloween more than just dressing up and trick or treat! From haunted venues and bone-chilling attractions, to special Halloween goodies and gripping family activities, plan your Halloween at IMG Worlds of Adventure for 10 days of live music, hair-raising themes and performances. Enjoy days of torchlit tours and scary surprises, this event is suitable for families of all sizes and kids of all ages. It will include several activities and events that include face painting, live entertainment, live music, DJ sets, trick or treat, wizarding school and competitions & prizes.

Halloween at Irish village
Dust off those costumes, or don’t! Get ready because you wouldn’t want to miss out on this free Halloween event in town! It’s that time of year again where the fangs come out, the wigs go on and the pumpkins are carved. The Irish Village is having their annual Halloween party on Monday, 31 October 2016. With free entry, come and get your spook on with prizes for the best dressed awards as well as fang-tatstic Halloween games for all! Kiddies can enjoy the party until 9:30pm, or else they may turn into a pumpkin!
