School’s Out & There Are Winter Camps To Enjoy!
School holidays are here, mamas! If you’re not jetting off for Christmas and you’re looking to keep the kids busy (because there’s still lots of cooking/shopping/organising to do!) then get them enrolled in a winter camp for a few days. We’ve found 5 of the most fun sounding options to guarantee a festively fun time.
We’ve raved about this amazing play space since it opened up recently and if you still haven’t let your kids loose inside then the winter camp is your chance! A one-of-a-kind venue made up of 8 galleries where children are encouraged to use their imagination, explore and create, OliOli takes inspiration from the most successful children’s museums, makerspaces, science centres and art studios from around the world. The 2 week winter camp will be offered at the venue’s Creative Lab, in partnership with Wisdom Warehouse (the progressive tutoring and enrichment centre).
From Sunday, 17 December – Thursday, 21 December your kiddos can Build BIG in the Spectacular Sculptures Camp, using simple materials including dowel and cardboard and tape, learning to build pyramids over 4 metres tall, forts you can get lost in and catapults from which to launch ‘fluff balls’. How cool?!
And from Sunday, 31 December – Thursday, 4 January the ‘Marvelous Moving Machines’ camp will have your little people building wind-up helicopters, constructing cars and making art machines plus much more! Frankly we’re tempted to join in too….

If you have dramatic little people (don’t we all, mamas?!) then they’ll love the chance to act out some of the best children’s stories ever by children’s favourites Dr. Seuss & Roald Dahl. The Courtyard Playhouse (a super cute little theatre in The Courtyard, Al Quoz) is holding a series of winter camps that are guaranteed to get little imaginations fired up. With 2 Winter Camps for 2 different age groups, the camp will involve story telling, games, mime, role-play, arts, and stagecraft. And whilst having fun, your child will be developing their communication skills, learning to work as part of a team, thinking on the spot and building confidence. Hooray! Your precious people will be taught and cared for by qualified teachers with a wealth of experience of teaching children of all ages and abilities, in a cosy, purpose-built 70-seater theatre; a perfect venue to tread the boards and discover the wonderful world of storytelling and the creative arts live on stage!

Festive season in full swing at DUCTAC Dubai this December and the Winter Camp is just the thing for crafty kids to get stuck into all sorts of fun! Taking on a seasonal theme to make everyone feel Christmassy, the camp will get your kids cutting, sticking, applying glitter and getting stuck into the kind of crafting they love but never get to do at home! And at the end of it all, you’ll have some lovely stuff to stick up on the fridge!
