XPark Jr Is A New Kids Play Space In Dubai, Dedicated To Bringing Children Closer To Mother Nature In A Gorgeous Green Setting

If I was planning the perfect place for my kids to play, XPark Jr would be it. This brand new space is just what all of us mamas (and kiddos) in Dubai have dreamt about for years, and it’s so awesome that I might just set up camp there forever while my three run wild (seriously!).

Located just off Kite Beach (directly behind the skate park), this beautiful outdoor playscape has been lovingly created for kids aged between 1 and 12 years (but I’m quite a few years older than that and think I was every bit as excited as my 3) with everything from a vegetable patch and mini orchard to little ‘wadis’ to splash in, streams to navigate, beautifully crafted wooden play structures to climb, bunny rabbits to cuddle (with a goat, chickens and ducks soon to follow…) and barn-style indoor areas that’ll offer arts and crafts plus special events and more. And the best bit? It’s all set within the most beautiful natural environment complete with mature trees to climb, the lushest grass to roll around on and beautiful flowers among which to explore. Magic.

XPark Jr is the closest thing that our Dubai based little ones are going to get to mucking about in the countryside – complete with getting dirty and with exploring and having the (safe) freedom to roam. This is a place where kids can be kids, away from screens and over-stimulation and where imaginations can run as wild as the children do – hooray!! Whether they’re cooking up mud pies in the mud kitchen, making wooden rafts before floating them down streams, planting seeds and tending to the garden, running in and out of the water-splash area, creating hide-outs under bridges or spending time with XPark Jr’s super cute furry residents, this is a place for adventure and good old-fashioned wholesome fun. 

And it gets better. XPark Jr is also home to a Park House cafe which serves up everything from delicious coffee (for mama) to juices and snacks (for kids) plus all the menu staples for which this brand has become so loved – if you haven’t tried the avocado on sweet potato with poached egg and micro-herbs then trust me, you want to! And as the space opens at 8am each day, I foresee breakfast under the dappled shade of leafy trees while the children run about in the fresh air. Perfect. Plus XPark Jr will host all kinds of cool events from farmers markets to all sorts of classes AND an urban forest school programme for local schools to get involved in and, hopefully, for all kids to be able to join at weekends (fingers crossed!).

This is the perfect place for family fun, where imaginations can soar while little rabbits hop around and the forecast is always smiley. How completely idyllic. XPark Jr, we’re coming back tomorrow (and I’m bringing my tent…).

Opening Hours: 8am – 8pm daily (Park House will close at 6pm at weekends)
Entrance Costs: AED 45 per child with accompanying adult for 2 hours and an extra AED 25 for every extra hour. One parent per family can enter free of charge, each additional adult will pay AED 45 for 2 hours.
Children under 1 year old can enter free of charge.
