Play & PartyPost Category - Play & PartyPlay & Party - Post Category - OutdoorOutdoor

We love the surf, sun and sand mamas, and luckily Dubai has a selection of amazing family-friendly beach clubs! With so many about however, it’s difficult narrowing it all down to the best of the best, but we’ve done the legwork for you and found the ones we’re visiting on our next family day. Whether your little wants to dive with the dolphins or you and the hubby want to sneak in some couples’ time with the help of the perfect kids’ club, check out our list below to sort out your weekend.

atlantis

Atlantis The Palm
This mystical five star resort tucked away on The Palm boasts one of the most impressive beach clubs in Dubai, with fun in the sun (and shade) for families looking for a different day out. If you’ve never had a chance to wander over to the man-made island, now’s the time to go and enjoy their numerous attractions, including an Aquaventure Waterpark chock full of water rides and snaking slides and the resort’s very own flawless beach. Has your little dreamed of swimming with dolphins before? Now they can at Dolphin Bay. Want a photo with some cheeky sea lions? Sea Lion Point’s the place for you. Don’t worry if you want to spend a bit of time indoors either mama, Atlantis The Palm is home to the gorgeous Lost Chambers Aquarium and has over twenty restaurants for you to fill your bellies. If you decide to go for a well-deserved spa day or to hit up the boutiques, there’s a Kid’s Club for 3-12 year olds where your littles can have while you have even more fun.

club mina

Club Mina
Why dispute a beach club classic? Club Mina’s one of the top spots for families looking for some sunny R&R on a private beach with a view of the seemingly endless Arabian Sea. If your littles aren’t so fond of the sea or you want to make sure they’re always in eyesight, there are five beachside pools for you all to luxuriate in (two being covered ones just for the kiddos). If you and the hubby want to steal a bit of time to yourselves, arrange for the children to hang out Penguin Club where they’ll be able to make new friends, chow down on a fab kids menu and participate in kid-friendly beach activities supervised by Club Mina’s great team. That quiet tanning session isn’t such a dream after all, mamas.

Jebel Ali Golf Resort
As an award winning family-friendly beach resort, it’s no surprise that Jebel Ali Golf Resort has some of the ultimate kid-friendly facilities (as well as a mini-golf course for the fam). With four zones designed for children at different stages of development, your tots under four will be looked after by Worldwide Kids Company childcare experts at the Creche, whereas your slightly older ones (aged 4-12) can head over to the CoolZone for fun activities like arts and crafts, sports and even a cheeky farm visit. For you mamas with big kids, make sure to check out the ChillZone as well where your teen can watch the latest Hollywood blockbusters or dash out for a game of water polo – with this much fun available mama, you won’t feel guilty hitting up the private beach!

wild wadi

Jumeirah Beach Hotel
Want an exciting day out with the littlies, mama? Jumeirah Beach Hotel has an edge that most other beach resorts don’t have – their own waterpark. Wild Wadi Waterpark is one of the perfect places to spend a hot weekend afternoon with the family, with over thirty different water attractions including the chilled out river float Juha’s Journey, the quintessential wave pool and the utterly exhilarating Wipeout Flowrider (maybe steer the tots away from this one though). Don’t worry if you’d rather spend time exploring Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s golf course or spa mama, Sinbad’s Kids Club will keep your kiddos aged 2-12 occupied in the meantime with outdoor water activities as well as fun indoor ones in a massive child-oriented clubhouse.

leroyalmeridien

Le Royal Meridien
The golden city never stops, but you can at least escape to Le Royal Meridien for a spot of peace and quiet. Even if you’re not a guest, you can still get access to their private beach and swimming pools (including an infinity pool that looks over the Arabian Gulf), as well as have a naughty tipple at one of the beach bars or restaurants. As part of Le Royal Meridien group like Club Mina above, your littles can wile the hours away at the Penguin Club which has activities running all day from 9am – 6pm, meaning your tots won’t ever get bored. With a playground and crazy golf available for use as well, the whole family can stay together rather than divide and conquer this fab beach bar – whatever you fancy really, mama!

Meydan Beach Club

Meydan Beach Club
This beach club is definitely for the mama who’s in on what’s hip and happening. With sleek, modern décor that will have you desperate to redesign your house, Meydan Beach Club’s number of tiered infinity pools are the perfect place for a chilled day out – especially with pool bars that are open all day long for nibbles and tipples. The tastes run a little more sophisticated here mamas, with their Mediterranean restaurant Meydan Sur Mer offering more gourmet meals such as gorgeous roasted sea bream and sautéed swordfish, however be sure to check out their brunch offers. This place really gets going in the night however so if you’re planning a night with the girls or chill drinks with the hubby, check out their Sundowner sessions and other special offers here.

Park Hyatt

Park Hyatt
Maybe we’re cheating a little bit here by including this fab hotel, but the Park Hyatt’s a great option for a laidback day on Dubai Creek. While there isn’t so much in the way of child-friendly facilities, if you’ve got older kiddos then their gorgeous pools (including outdoor Jacuzzis) are a great shout. It’s also a stone’s throw away from the magnificent Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club which offers fun packages for the children, so you and your aspiring Arnold/Arnette Palmers will be hitting the green together in no time.

Riva

Riva Beach Club
Not really into hotel beach clubs? Check out Riva Beach, one of Dubai’s first independent beach clubs situated on its own private stretch of sand with relaxation to spare. This chill hangout is open to anyone for a small entrance fee, which will score you a sun lounger and access to their numerous facilities (including underground parking, steam rooms, the pool and, naturally, the beach). Be sure to check out Sophie’s Café Dubai next door as well, an organic café that only uses the best local products for scrumptious and healthy meals.

rixos

Rixos The Palm
Situated on the edge of The Palm, Rixos is one of the most child-friendly places to go for a beach swim with the family – music to our ears, mamas! Aside from offering a number of fun watersports, you can lounge about on their private beach and outdoors pools. There’s a lot going on and especially for the kids as well, with Rixy Club hosting a number of fun activities as well as their own swimming pools, playgrounds and waterslides for them to splash about in. Better clear up those weekends mama, the kids will be wanting to come back again and again.
