Just writing about the InterContinental’s offering is making us feel hungry, with a turkey available in three sizes to suit every party (4kg, 6kg or 8kg), stuffed with chestnuts, granny smith apple, sage, and cranberry! On the side, you can enjoy oven roasted chunky potatoes with shallots and fresh rosemary, chunky root vegetables, veal chipolatas, and a range of sauces. If you prefer beef, the hotel also offers a beef alternative – just give them a call (but prepare for a rumbling tummy when they give you the details!)

Not sure you need all the trimmings? Jones the Grocer has two options. Opt for a roasted turkey, stuffed with sage and apricot stuffing on its own – or go all out, withroast potatoes, pumpkin puree, whole roasted garlic and red onion, chestnuts, thyme rosemary and honey glazed carrots, broccoli and cauliflower with four cheese sauce and cranberry infused gravy. Both feed 8-10 people – and if you don’t like turkey, you can opt for other meats or vegetarian options, so give them a call!

Don’t fancy turkey. Mama? How about this gourmet feast from Pots, Pans and Boards instead? The three-course meal for 8 people starts with foie-gras wrapped in gingerbread with kumquat, vanilla marmalade and brioche (we can’t even picture that, but we’d love the chance to try it!), then moves onto a main meal of Wagyu short ribs, and finishes with a Guanaja chocolate Christmas log. We’re planning a dinner party as we type!

Everyone’s favourite café is offering turkey platters this Christmas, filled with roasted turkey breast, stuffing balls, roasted baby spuds, mini sausages, spiced pears and apricots and Lime Tree’s homemade Christmas Cranberry and Date relish. It comes ready to serve on a bamboo board, with a basket of home-made artisan rolls from their bakery. It’s definitely going to take the stress out of entertaining, Mama!

This hotel has a reputation for doing Christmas very, very well – but if you didn’t manage to get your booking for brunch in on time (we’ve all been there. Mama!), the hotel will bring the feast to you! We love the sound of the Grab & Go Box from Pullman Dubai Deira Creek, which includes a veritable feast to feed 10-12 people!
