Raffles Roast at Azur
Do you miss a traditional roast but find them an absolute faff to make? We always stumble at the last hurdle resulting in half hot/half cold food, and lets be honest mamas the trimmings are just as important as the meat itself, aren’t they? Well, Azur offers the Raffles Roast every Friday and its really really good! Presenting a wide selection of cold and hot starters to wet the appetite, followed by a traditional roast with all the accompaniments you can think of, including Yorkshire pud, stuffing, succulent meat and gravy, you can be certain that you will be fully satisfied from start to finish. To round off a pretty perfect meal, expect classical desserts such as eton mess, bread and butter pudding and delicious crumble. If it’s the food you are after then this may not be the place for you as the quality is slightly below par, but the scene in front of you certainly makes up for it, with the picture perfect iconic Burj Al Arab standing tall in full view.    There is also a designated kids area with child’s buffet and entertainment including magicians and face painting. The Picnic Brunch at Blades
Situated on the lawn of Blades restaurant, this al fresco brunch is genuinely one of the most delightful brunches around and pays homage to the traditional English picnic. Padded blankets are set up (with seating available for those who want it) around low tables and you are given a surprise wicker basket brimming with traditionally British food, such as pork pies, sausage rolls, smoked salmon and much more. Yum! There are also stations set up offering delicious fresh burgers, grilled prawns and barbequed chicken, to name just a few. There is something very serene about the setting here. You can enjoy your lunch in total tranquility surrounded by the lush green grass and cool running water of the ninth hole. You honestly almost feel like you aren’t in Dubai! But don’t get so carried away that you forget about dessert! There is nothing more quintessentially British than a bowl of delicious plump strawberries served with double cream. For the kids, expect entertainment for all ages, and a large green area for them to run around in!

Urban Picnic Brunch at 3in1
Now that the weather is improving, this brunch is amongst our favourites for its originality and for the fact that it embraces quality family time. Every Friday 3in1 is transformed into a picnic setting inside and out. You are given a blanket and wicker basket, which you fill with savoury goodies such as quiche, pies, salads and pizza (who’s tried the peanut butter and jelly flavour?), as well as sweet delights of decadent cakes and puds. This part the kids will love to do with you as its fun for them to pack up the basket and choose from the platters. There is plenty of seating inside and out, but we definitely recommend just grabbing yourself a piece of grass outside and setting up camp. You can also book a cabana for the crème de la crème experience, and sit back and chill out to the sounds of the live DJ.
