Looking to grab a fuss-free meal out with the kiddos? Check out the best kids menus in Dubai below…

atisuto-rest

Atisuto

Break out the chopsticks, mama! This little Japanese resto is a refreshing change from your usual kids menu, with everything from crowd-pleasing chicken/salmon teriyaki to mochi ice cream. And don’t worry, mamas and papas will fall in love with their amazing grown up menu as well: think sushi that could give the fancier joints a run for their money and the usual culprits – tempura, noodles and gyoza. See our full review.

Baker & Spice

Baker & Spice proudly proclaims that, “We believe that children should eat well” and that’s definitely something we can get behind. While it’s hard to know what exactly you’ll get as their menu changes every day, we can attest that their English meets Middle Eastern menu is worth tucking into with the whole fam. Plus, a lot of their produce comes from local markets and farmers so you’ll be supporting the little guys and gals while feeding your own.

bookmunch kids menu

BookMunch Cafe

There’s no denying that we love Bookmunch Cafe (our glowing review kind of gives it away) and they have probably one of the best kids menus we’ve ever seen. It’s all themed around fave children’s stories and they’ll be able to tuck into dishes such as Dr Seuss’ Green Eggs and Ham Spinach Omelette or Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Spaghetti. Once they’ve finished up, they can check out the amazing range of children’s books and cosy up in one of their reading spots – anything that encourages the tots to read is a big plus in our books.

Open 9am-11pm daily. Kids Story Time every Saturday at 12:30.

Bookmunch Cafe, Al Wasl Square, Al Wasl Road, next to Safa Park and opposite the Lebanese Bakery, Dubai

Bystro

Sheikh Zayed Road’s a hub of eateries and Bystro’s amongst the best of them for the family, as Kaya can attest to. Chic and family-friendly are two things we thought you couldn’t mix, but multicultural Bystro somehow manages it. With a broad menu that doesn’t intimidate, their more modest kids menu is one that’ll keep a smile on the kiddos face. (Or at least it will, once you whisk them away from the kids corner at the front of the resto.) Two things we can’t get out of our head are the Truffle Mac and Cheese and Banoffee French Toast with hot Nutella sauce – we’re definitely making a reservation…

Carluccio’s

We’re sure we don’t have to tell you that Carluccio’s is a steadfast family fave, whether in Dubai or even across the pond in the UK. They’re all about creating amazing food that goes beyond the standard spag bol or mini burger for the kiddos, yet still goes down a treat. Aside from their fantastic make-your-own-pasta option which will excite the tots, they’ve got fantastic wood fired pizzas and Kaya’s kids absolutely adore the creamy lasagna. See her full review.

Carluccio’s, Lower Ground Floor Boardwalk, Dubai Mall, United Arab Emirates, see all locations here

Crab Tavern

There’s nothing we love more than a bit of seafood on a blazing summer’s day, which is why Crab Tavern’s one of our American dining go-tos. While you’re surfing and turfing, your bubs can indulge in delish dishes such as the Roast Pumpkin Ravioli, Chicken Fingers and Tavern Parpadelle. (Don’t forget dessert: sundaes and apple pies!)

Eataly

Mamma mia! Kaya’s a huge fan of Eataly as you can probably tell from her review and so are her children. It’s a little noisier than most as the resto’s located in the middle of one of the best Italian groceries, meaning it’s super low-key and you’ll even be able to see the working kitchen from where you’re sitting. For the children, expect delicious dishes such as Pizza Margherita, Penne with Antonella Tomato and Basil and a delicious Grilled Corn-fed Half Chicken Breast. And don’t worry, the adult menu’s equally as scrumptious – did someone say burrata?

the farm al barari

The Farm, Al Barari

This popular family spot is one that we’d advise you ring ahead for. Located a hop, skip and a jump away in the desert, this tranquil resto is not only a fantastic place to get away from it all, but their food is pretty fantastic too. Stop by for a breakfast chock full of waffles, pancakes and muffins or head over later on in the day for the rest of their amazing menu – there won’t be any frowns here! Plus, once the tots have sated their fill they can run round the lush greenery while you let the bubbling water features lull you into a state of bliss.

Open from 7.30am.

reform social gril

Reform Social and Grill

This super chilled out resto is a family favourite and with good reason. Their quintessentially British menu and welcoming atmosphere is always a great time, plus they have a kids meal deal where they’ll be able to choose a main course, soft drink and a cheeky ice cream to top it all off for just AED 55. Expect goodies for the tots like fish and chips, spaghetti bolognaise and even a sausage roll – we’d like a mama size too, please!

Open 8am-12am, open 8am-1am on Thursdays and Fridays.

Reform Social and Grill, The Lakes, Dubai, (+971) (0)4 454 2638, www.reformsocialgrill.ae

Retro Feasts

Retro Feasts takes the cake for being one of the coolest joints in town. This casual British resto manned by Luke Thomas (one of the youngest celebrity chefs round) and Mark Fueller has a menu that revolves around their childhood favourites, meaning that they’re certain to be a win with the tots. While there isn’t exactly a designated kids menu, they do kiddo sized portions of all their dishes including a heart Fish Finger Sandwich, Retro Burger, Mac n’Cheese and even a Salmon and Cream Cheese Toastie. Don’t forget to grab one of their Instagram worth milkshakes!

Sapori di BICE

This cool casual Italian restaurant is a mama fave with good reason. With a few awards under the belts, they aim to replicate that homey Italian family feel and we feel they definitely succeed. They’ve got a dedicated kids menu including a make-your-own-pizza option, with fun shaped bases (we’ve heard they’ve even got a Mickey Mouse one). In the mean time, mamas can indulge in food fresh from the rotisserie or go for something a little lighter with a panini.

Sapori di BICE, Al Safa Road, City Walk, Dubai

pantry cafe

The Pantry Café

Head over to this slick foodie favourite to get a taste of their international menu, whose mission is to bring you the best comfort food while supporting local farms. Aside from one of the best breakfast menus we’ve seen (Around the World in Eight Dishes, we’re hungry just thinking about it!), the biggest perk is that they do free baby purees for your bubs. No artificial colouring, no preservatives and perfect for tots aged 6-18 months – definitely a reason to drop in.

Wagamama

Wagamama’s a global family fave and their Asian-fusion menu is defs one that’ll please everybody. Quick, easy and with a kids menu that offers tinier bites of their ramen, katsu and yakisoba meals, they’ll be happily slurping away all meal long. On top of that, they have easy-to-use chopsticks and fun stuff for the kiddos including colouring pages.
