Housed in the new beach development on JBR, a fenced water play area for kids aged below 12 years offers splashy fun in a clean, shaded environment including water fountains, dumping buckets (prepare to get wet mamas!) and water cannons. The area is small – half of it is taken up with a playground that would have been better as more water play but it’s perfect for small people. Can get very busy at weekends. Whilst the splash area offers day passes, we don’t think little ones would last much longer than an hour here. If you park underground and spend more than AED 75 then parking is free.

Sassy Mama Tip: The floor in the un-shaded areas can get scorching hot for little feet – and if your little ones are crawling then put them in swim-suits which cover their knees as they can get very scratched.
