The creation of wonder-mama, publisher and food lover Dareen Charafeddine, BookMunch offers all too rare ‘home from home’ dining experience we all crave. The perfect place for post school drop off coffee and a naughty but delicious slice of carrot and courgette cake (possibly the best cake in Dubai), BookMunch also has a fantastic menu (devised by consultant Chef Fiona Archibold) with genius kids choices inspired by children’s literary classics – think ‘green eggs and ham’ and ‘Humpty Dumpty boiled eggs’. The interior is cosy and colourful with book-lined shelves and a kids corner complete with a little tent into which our bookish mini ones can escape for a flick through some of the many Arabic and English titles displayed.
In the winter, BookMunch does a fab picnic hamper stuffed full of everything delicious and including complimentary Safa Park tickets.
