Sister school of the highly revered UK prep school with the same name and a partner school of Repton Dubai, Foremarke is one of Dubai’s newest schools and as such has not yet been subject to independent reports. A small co-educational junior school (there are currently only 80 pupils at the school and a further 200 predicted to join by September 2014), Foremarke prides itself on very small class sizes and a high teacher to pupil ratio. Currently catering for pupils from Foundation Stage 1(Nursery) to Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and 2) , this year will see the introduction of Years 3 – 4 with Years 5-6 opening in 2015.
Foremarke aims to provide a ‘genuine British prep school experience’, focusing on high academic standards and traditional morals and manners but also, once construction is completed, providing excellent facilities expected to accompany the name and the fees.
Dubai loves a brand and some parents have been skeptical as to whether Foremarke Dubai will live up to its sister schools reputation – one that has been built over many years. Similarly, many parents have question sending children to a school which hasn’t yet completed construction let alone proven itself academically – something they feel is a little risky. That said, Foremarke promises an extremely well-rounded offering, balancing academia with music, the arts and sport – we look forward to seeing how the school develops and if it delivers on its promise.
Fees for Foremarke Dubai are at the top end, ranging from AED 65,000 – AED 85,000. From 2015, fees will jump significantly and FS1 will start at 90,000 AED, rising to 98,000 AED at Y6. At this point Foremarke will be top of Dubai’s school fee table.
The admissions process requires a registration fee of AED 500 and an assessment fee of AED 1000. Both of these fees are non-refundable. There is also a one-time, non-refundable “Facilities Fee” of AED 20,000 payable on acceptance of place.
