The fantastic Sharjah Aquarium is home to over 250 species from tiny clown fish to reef sharks and it opens at 8am (except Fridays), making it the perfect excursion for early risers. Enter an ‘abandoned dhow’ for close-ups of maritime creatures from the UAE’s west and east coasts housed in recreated rock pools, mangroves, coral reefs and other local watery habitats. The children loved the interactive touchscreen monitors (irresistible to little hands which just love pressing buttons) and walking on the underfloor tanks.
Open Saturday – Thursday 8am – 8pm and Friday 4pm – 10pm. Closed Sunday.
Adults AED 20, Children 6-15 years AED 10, Under 5’s go free.
