The Event Your Kids (& Dogs) Will Want To Be At This Weekend

Dogs, food trucks, kids activities & more = the perfect ingredients for a really great event this weekend

Whether you’ve got a dog, your kids are always hounding you for one (pardon the pun) or you just want them to be able to give a puppy a cuddle, there’s a truly amazing event this weekend that’s guaranteed to be a lot of fun for a very good cause. Doggy boutique Howl & Growl, together with local charities Pare UAE and Al Mayya K9 Adoptions, are putting on a dog-friendly afternoon for every family member (including the furry ones) to enjoy.

This Friday, 11 May between 4pm and 8pm you can take your own pups for a play or simply go along to a lovely few hours of fun as part of a dog adoption day at the Toil & Tinker warehouse space in Al Quoz. Don’t worry, if you can’t adopt or foster a woof it’s not a problem you can just stop by for a canine hug, for the best tacos in town courtesy of maiztacos, for the kids to get stuck into everything from cookie and cupcake decoration to arts & crafts, balloon animals to interactive screen printing on totes and tees plus loads more. There’ll be a lemonade stand for the littles and a Nightjar Coffee Bar for mama (because we always need caffeine, yes?!). And of course, you’ll have the chance to shop for your pooch or your feline friend at Howl  & Growl, Dubai’s only animal boutique.

Yup, this is an event that’s for a good cause and that’ll leave you feeling fuzzy and warm, whether you’re in for adopting a dog or not. And if you are (I’ve got a rescue at home already but am seriously tempted for more...) then there’ll be over 45 dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds to meet. Want to know more?
