It’s that time of year again when many of us mamas are scratching their heads and wondering what’s open, what’s closed, where can we take our kids and most importantly, what can we feed them? Because we don’t know about you, but mealtimes in our household tend to go down much more smoothly when someone else is cooking!
That’s why it’s great news that one of Sassy Mama’s fave spots, Eataly, will be opening its marketplace as usual this Ramadan, meaning you can still fill up little tummies (and bigger ones too-ahem) without facing a ‘what is this, mama? I don’t like it’ style mutiny. Fresh breads, cheeses and other groceries will be available to purchase from 9am, while you can dish out their yummy pizzas and pastas as takeaways from lunchtime. And, they’ve even rolled out an extended evening menu available from Iftar to closing, just for Ramadan.
Eataly has kept all it’s favourites so you’ll have no complaint from kids who don’t like change when you’re dining en famille after sundown, but they’ve added stacks of new dishes to try too, the best of which is their newly launched enormous family sharing platter – because what says Ramadan more than sitting and sharing a beautiful meal together? Featuring four different types of pasta, three huge pizzas (we like the Diavola best!) with their signature ultra-thin base (made on the premises and left to stand for 24 hours before it’s rolled out – now that’s dedication for you!) plus some kid-pleasing arancini balls. Sound delicious? It is – that’s mealtimes in June sorted, Eataly style!
