Where better to get fit AND sign your kids up for a whole heap of cool classes than one of Dubai’s most impressive fitness centres? FitRepublik’s amazing world class space had the gym bunnies buzzing all through its highly publicised construction and we’ve got to admit that we’re a little in love. As the biggest fitness space in the desert city, they’re proving that quality really does come with quantity with an insane 350 classes every week and a team of passionate personal trainers ready for any of your exercise-related questions. Did we mention they’ve even got offerings for the littlies? Count us in!
So let’s talk about what exactly you can expect at this fitness kingdom, mamas. Whether you’re perfecting those squats by the heavy machinery, spinning for your life or breaking out into butterfly in the swimming pool, you can rest assured knowing you’re getting some of the best facilities Dubai has to offer. In fact, FitRepublik makes no secret of the fact that their facilities are on par with the most discerning of Olympic standards, which is kind of crazy cool.
We’re definitely eager to try out some of their classes as well ranging from the standard spinning and yoga sessions, to the more offbeat adult (and kiddo!) aquatics and mixed martial arts to keep you fighting fit. For those of you out there who are super hardcore, there’s a CrossFit class as well… we might just sit at the side and watch though. If you’ve got a bun in an oven, FitRepublik is making sure that you can still get your exercise fix with pre- and postnatal fitness instructors who’ll see you from bump to birth. If you prefer to go it alone, FitRepublik offer personal trainers for any discipline from gymnastics to Aquatics and everything in-between!
While mamas busting her butt on the treadmill, there’s stuff for the littlies to do too. Mini mermaids and mermen can splash about at Aquatics classes, get their karate kid on at mixed martial arts classes or make shapes at gymnastics. There’s a pretty healthy age range as well that we’re loving with separate sessions for babies as young as six months all the way up to 16 year olds. And if your child just can’t get enough or wants a more intensive programme, you might want to point them in the direction of the Functional Training sessions or bootcamp for older kids aged 10-16.
Sound good, mama? We think so too. There’s a number of varying membership packages for adults in lots of three months, six months and the twelve month motherlode depending on what you’re looking for; whether that be a general all access pass or you’re focused on a specific discipline. They begin at a reasonable AED 1300, check out the whole price list. If you’re really looking to kickstart your fitness regimen, you can also sign up for a personal training package priced at AED 3600 which includes 12 classes – though do give FitRepublik a shout if you want to customise it and they’ll happily help out.
It’s time to dig your runners out of the closet and don your exercise clothes, mamas!
