What to do mama – you’re stuck between the office and maintaining some kind of ‘normal’ home routine where the biggest priority is to make sure the littles are super well cared for and happy while you clock up those hours. There are nursery schools a plenty in our beautiful desert city but finding one that supports a working mamas hours isn’t easy – and sometimes we just need a little flexibility with kiddie care.

Well, we’ve found you a sparkly solution! Little Gems International Al Barsha is like a diamond in the rough (or in the sand), a fabulous little learning centre for tots aged between 1 and 4 years that offers completely tailor-made solutions depending on what your needs are (hooray!).

An award-winning pre-school with the most amazing facilities including bright free flowing learning areas, junior kitchen, soft play gym, splash zone, gardens, rooftop terraces and early years library (frankly even when it is home time we doubt the kiddos will want to leave)! The Al Barsha campus is the flagship pre-school of the mega impressive GEMS Education group which basically means that it is literally all-singing and all-dancing, with a superior quality of care and education plus a huge emphasis on parental engagement.

And the bit that impresses us the most? That these guys understand the needs of a 21st Century family – the hours are totally flexible and the littles can attend breakfast club from 7.30am and stay right through an extended day to 6pm or anytime in between depending on your schedule. Oh, and there are holiday programmes available so that working parents can keep doing what they gotta do!
