Aleena: Year 7 Academic Scholar
‘I appreciate the opportunity of being selected as the first female scholar of the UAE and recognised as a leading thinker who is passionate about learning.’
Aleena is completing her Islamic Education GCSE 2 years ahead of time. She has won 14 awards out of the top Dubai students as part of the World Scholars Cup AND she regularly writes articles for the Arts section of The National. Wow.
Leyth: Year 9 Music Scholar
Leyth’s performing prowess has been awarded first prize at the GCC Virtuoso Music Competition 2017 (amongst other awesome accolades!). He is not only a strong academic performer but also excels in the Expressive Arts having achieved a distinction in his grade 8 ABRSM exam on the violin. GO LEYTH!
Nina: Year 7 Sports Scholar
‘I spend quite a lot of time on swimming but I also do gymnastics and football. When I grow up I want to be an Olympian for swimming and compete and do the impossible like Michael Phelps. School helps us with communicating, leadership and encouraging people to be strong and to keep carrying on. Sport is fun because of the exercise and I’ve met a lot of my friends through sport.’
The scholarships programme for the academic year 2017/2018 is now open for GCSE and A Level students – to support the UAE’s most gifted students. Interested?
