YAY! The long weekend is finally here and we’ve gathered our favourite activities and events to check out this weekend in our desert city! Have a good one, mama, and Happy UAE National Day!
In honour of UAE National Day, Splash n Party will be hosting a celebratory party for little ones to enjoy. This Splash’tastic’ bash will include the chance to play on the exciting splash slides, splash pads and many more plus offer heaps of entertainment including Stilt walkers, Jugglers, Dancers, LED light shows and a Mermaid show too. Oh and to mark the 46th National day of the UAE, each entry ticket will only cost AED 46 for one child and one adult, yay!

Kick off December with a whirlwind of activity and excitement for the UAE’s 46th National Day Anniversary! For those who missed Black Friday, White Friday and Cyber Monday, here’s another chance to shop, shop, shop for UAE residents. All malls will have special National Day sales featuring 60-90% off across the city – yay!

As the sun sets on National Day, the sky will light up with fireworks at different locations in Dubai from 8:30pm. Join the desert city in a magical display that illuminate our skyline with a spectacular show of pattern, colour and sound. The little ones will be thrilled (come on, bedtime can be delayed just this once!). Try to beat the crowds and get to your chosen fireworks location early as the areas will fill up fast.
When: Saturday, 2 December (8:30pm onwards)

It’s time to take the fam to one of the most colourful celebrations of UAE National Day, The Parade in Downtown Dubai! The parade, which has become a staple celebration of the UAE National Day, takes place each year in the midst of some of Dubai’s most iconic attractions. Floats, roaming entertainment, mascots and other performers will depict cultures and traditions from the world as they make their way down Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard.
When: Thursday, 30 November – Sunday, 3 December

If you’re looking for a new place to spend the UAE’s 46th National Day, we know just the place for you! Gather up family and friends, and head over to Riverland Dubai, located in the city’s newest theme park hub, Dubai Parks and Resorts. Expect National Day regalia, together with traditional dancers, falconry displays, street entertainers, camel rides, workshops, face painting, traditional sweets and other interactive entertainment. Get your hands decorated with henna, take a lovely stroll throughout the park and even take a ride down the river on festive, decorated boats.

Got a little reader at home, mamas? Then head over to Bookworm on Saturday 2 December as they are giving a FREE Roald Dahl book all day to celebrate UAE National Day and Roald Dahl’s Birthday. Hurry, they have limited stock and are giving one book per child.
