Adventure HQ
Got a thrill seeker in the family? Head over to Adventure HQ at the Galleria Mall, where the kiddos can clamber around on their awesome rope course and climbing wall. They do fantastic birthday bash packages that’ll score you a free gift along with all your party gear, plus there’s picnic baskets for sating that post-climbing hunger. With their awesome team keeping an eye on the littles, you’ll be able to chill out with the other parents at the lovely little cafe attached. Still haven’t checked it out? Sofia’s headed over before here.

fire truck station in dubai 12

Al Manara Fire Station
You might have spied Kaya and Sofia’s kids’ awesome fire station party in their ultimate guide and there’s no place better for your little firefighters to have a shindig than at this joint. Aside from getting to use their awesome space for all your party needs, they even let tots have a go in their fire truck lift and go for a little ride in their fire engine plus give tours of the station (so exciting for the kids to see where REAL firefighters sleep!). Remember to pack an extra change of clothes for the kiddos though, as they’ll turn the lot into a mini water park with some sprinkler and fire hose fun. Just be warned that if there’s an emergency lined up then that takes precedence…obvs!

Sassy Mama Tip: Book early as this is getting pretty popular!

bounce

Bounce
Always a hit with the kiddos, book in for a flying high time with one of Bounce’s birthday parties! Set in a super cool converted Al Quoz warehouse, 100 multi coloured trampolines line almost every single surface and there’s 500 square meters of padding for them to land safely on (Kaya and her fam went for a jump or three in her review). While the kiddos somersault their heart out, you can take refuge in the cosy little cafe and keep an eye on them at the same time. The party package comes with an hour of free jumping, 30 minutes in their party room, food, grip socks and a party host – woohoo!

Get them busy decorating their own party bag mementos from moneyboxes to plates, bowls and other ceramics so they can unleash their inner artists while creating something unique and practical. Party packages also include options for in house catering depending on budget.

Dubai Ice Rink
Get out of the blazing heat and onto the ice mamas! Located over at The Dubai Mall, the kiddos can put their imaginations to good use and pretend they’re over at the North Pole bundled all up in their hardly used winter gear. For children who haven’t quite mastered the art of skating, they have these super cute penguin skating supports which they can cling onto and there’s always a few members of staff keeping a careful eye on everything going on. Dani checked it out with her little one and they had an absolute blast. The Ice Rink also does group packages as well, so grab the team and head on down for a chill time. (The cup of hot cocoa afterwards will be so worth it.)

Fairmont Falcons Kids Club
Head over to The Palm for a birthday bash! Fairmont The Palm’s got a killer birthday package at their fantastic kids club, where your little ones can make the most of their splash park, outdoor obstacle course and climbing wall. Once they’ve burned off all their energy, don’t forget to hang around to make the most of the special children’s menu that comes along and help blow out the candles.

thejamjar
Parties always get a little messy, so why not get crafty while you’re at it? Painting parties at the jamjar in Al Quoz are a thing now and we’re over the moon about it. Kiddos will be able to let their inner Picassos run wild with canvasses and unlimited paint all supplied by the team and have a gorgeous reminder to take home with them at the end of the day too. Even though they supply aprons, it’s probably not a bad shout to make sure the kids are still wearing clothing they (or you) are not too precious about.

Lush
We can’t walk past the Lush store without taking a huge sniff of the gorgeous air that wafts out of their doors – and neither can our little girls. Sparkly bath bombs, shower jellies and pots of beautiful looking skincare laden with fruit and other goodies, it’s a girlie paradise! So we were pretty excited when we heard that Lush now offer a Fun & Games Party in their store – a package including entertaining tailor-made team games and activities for the kids to get stuck into – including making their own products, treasure hunts, quizzes and even fashion shows. If you can’t get to Lush then Lush will come to you – transforming your home into a gorgeously scented party space or taking over the garden in cool weather when bubble and foam fights are on the cards! We tried it and we loved it! Oh and all guests leave with a Lush gift and the host gets something extra special and (beautifully) smelly.

Paper Lane
Inject a little creativity into a birthday with a party at Paperlane – from scrapbooking to card making, these guys do it all while making little people feel as special as possible in a 2 hour slot. Party goers are taken to Café Ceramique for birthday snacks and cupcake treats from Sweet Lane are also provided. This is definitely one for the girls as there’s lots of glitter, flowers and pretty artsy stuff involved!

Posh Paws Petting Farm
Got a little animal lover on your hands? Posh Paws Petting Farm offers the chance to get up close and personal with a whole heap of creatures including ponies, goats, rabbits, ferrets, baboons and porcupines.  The kids can feed, pet and even ride while learning about their favourites and mamas and papas can relax in a party tent while the Posh Paws team keep the kids very happy and entertained. If you’d rather that the animals (or a selection of them anyways!) came to you, that’s also possible – and there’s always the option of adopting if you get really attached to any of them. Porcupine pet anyone?

Rixy Kids Club
Celebrate your kiddos’ bash at one of the coolest spots on The Palm! Rixy Kids Club over at Rixos The Palm is a great place to throw a party for children, with a massive kids pool and outdoor playground to run amok in. There’s a whole host of activities as well from face painting to magic shows and their fab team are definitely to be lauded – talk about birthday bliss, mama.

Rock The Guac at Rosa Mexicano
Any budding little chefs out there will love getting their amigos together for table side antics at Rosa Mexicano – where guacamole and quesadillas are on the menu for all to make (and eat!). Complete with sombreros, menus, silly pictures against a Mexican backdrop and even a mariachi band, this is our kind of party (minus the tequila).

Minimum 8 kids, maximum 18.

Rosa Mexicano, Dubai Mall, Dubai (+971) 4 388 2505 or Mirdif City Centre, Dubai, (+971) 4 285 8988, www.facebook.com/RosaMexicanoAR

Ski Dubai
During the hotter months, a party on the slopes is quite literally the coolest thing. Ski Dubai offers various packages for parties between 10-25 people – from entry to the snow park to hanging out with penguins plus food from the St. Moritz café – they can also take care of invitations and decorations. Time to hit the slopes!
Note the age minimum is 3 years old.

myVOX

Vox Cinemas
No we’re not talking a few cinema tickets and a bucket of popcorn for your guests – this is about getting a movie theater all to yourselves for your precious little party people to enjoy a private screening, have a go at karaoke or battle it out in an Xbox or Playstation tournament. The myVOX cinemas in City Centre Deira and Yas Mall will allow your kids to invite up to 38 of their closest friends for a film-tastic celebration – and if that’s not enough for little miss or mr popular, you can rent one of VOX’s full sized cinemas to accommodate their gang. Packages include usher and waiter services, food options and a tonne of customisable details from the cinema decor to playing video messages on-screen from anyone who can’t be there in person. But frankly who’d want to miss out on this one mamas?!

Vox Cinemas, see all locations here, (+971) (0)60 059 9905, email: events@voxcinemas.comuae.voxcinemas.com

And lastly one of our very favourite – and cheapest options mamas… a party al fresco!
With cooler weather on the horizon, Dubai’s beaches and parks are an ideal option for a birthday party in the open. You can buy a pop up gazebo for not very much at all at the hypermarkets and outdoor adventure stores, accessorise with bunting, balloons and a couple of rugs for sitting on et voila – your very own party venue on the sand or the grass. Pack up a cool box with drinks and snacks, play games and let the little ones run riot.

To reserve a spot in one of Dubai’s parks for outdoor celebrations (we particularly love Safa 2 park just off Al Manara but there are so many fab options), just chat to the people at the gates in advance to firm up your date and then bring in your own food, tables, party games etc or call in experts like Cheeky Little Events to help.
