Packed with an incredible variety of sounds, smells, colours, lights, tetures, music, dance, signing and massage – Baby Sensory is exactly as its name suggests – a lovely way to stimulate your baby’s senses in just the right way with the aim of assisting brain and general development in the first year of life.
Lessons change weekly and involve plenty of props and equipment plus music – much of which has been developed especially for the classes. Calling all mini movers, shakers and music makers! Music Monkeys is a homegrown (Abu Dhabi started by a mama of 4 boys) concept that’s been keeping mamas and their babies happy and busy through music and movement classes since 2012. Catering for little ones from 3 months to 4 years (with age-specific groups tailored for their development), Music Monkeys is about so much more than singing along to a CD and encourages plenty of engagement from the babies and the people who bring them along! From wiggling to jiggling, marching to stamping plus singing, dancing, drums, instruments, carefully sourced props, bubbles and much more – one thing’s guaranteed, your little ones will love it.
And with 35 classes a week across Abu Dhabi and Dubai (with Al Ain launching early next year), held in a variety of convenient handpicked locations including nursery schools and soft plays (which come with 30 minutes of free play after class while mama has a coffee – perfect!), there’s something to fit every mama and baby’s schedule. Classes are super fun and work with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework with each term taking on a different themes including Movement & Me, Creature Comforts & Somewhere Over the Rainbow (so cute!) and there’ll never ben more than 12 kiddos in a class – perfect!
Oh and if you want to incorporate a little fun and music into your little one’s birthday party then Music Monkeys do that too and at a very reasonable cost, hooray! Time to make some music, mamas (and monkeys!).

Embrace this multi-cultural city of ours by joining a class in French or Arabic with your baby! By discovering a new language through play at such a young age, the theory is that little ones will find learning languages much easier when they are formally introduced in a classroom. And starting at just six months old, you really can boast about having a bi-lingual baby (makes up for you getting that D in French, right Mama?). Founded by super Sassy mama Nadia, Baby Arabia is a firm Sassy fave.

Got a little rocker on your hands? If your baby loves music, Boogie Babies is the class for you! Warm up your voice, as there’s lots of singing involved (along with dancing, so you can tick that weekly exercise class off the list too!) The class grows with your baby, being suitable for kids up to three years old!

Want to have a good old chat with your baby? Stifle that laughter mama, as it’s totally possible with Baby Signing! Research shows that signing babies are happier, less frustrated, and brainier in the future (you always did know that your little darling was a mini Einstein after all!) And did we mention that you’ll both have lots of fun too?
Time to dig out your swimming costume mama! And you’ll need one for your little one too, as Baby Splash Dubai offer fun, engaging swimming lessons for babies between 3 months and 3 years! Expect rubber ducks, blowing bubbles, dancing, and singing at these fun lessons, all taken by qualified swimming instructors. And after half an hour splashing around in the sunshine, you’ll realise you enjoyed it as much as your baby (just remember the SPF50!).

It’s time to discover your inner zen with Mum And Baby Yoga in Downtown Dubai and Dubai Marina. The classes involve lots of calm stretching, toning and relaxing, all involving your baby and helping to strengthen your bond! This class is designed for newborns (6 weeks old) until 12-months-old. No prior experience in yoga is needed for Mamas (or babies) so don’t be scared if you can’t touch your toes. The perfect way to get your body back into shape – and you’ll get to meet other like-minded mamas too!
Kindermusik classes are run from the basement of a rambling villa in Umm Suqeim (which is kinda cool!). Offering music based playgroups for newborns up to 7 year olds, Kindermusik is a great way for kiddies of all ages to interact with music and enjoy its benefits (rather than be pushed into being polished performers).
The core belief of the Kindermusik approach is that all children are musical and that the parent is the child’s first and most important teacher (no pressure, mamas!). A great newborn activity for mamas aching to get out of the house!
Dress for mess and artistic success! Little ones aged 18 – 24 months are free to smear, squeeze, splatter and explore artistic possibilities in sensory play bins, writing tables, and through giant paper painting for fun that is too big to try at home (also let’s keep the mess out of the house, right mamas?!). There’s also storybook sharing to inspire new ideas and creativity and the opportunity to ‘work’ with a variety of materials including paints, doughs, crayons, chalk, and collage. Get ready for a messy good time!

With classes for little people aged between 6 months – 2 years, Toptots began in South Africa and was developed by a team of professionals, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, music specialists and teachers. Impressive right?! Each class loosely follows the same routine (which includes teaching little ones ‘tidy up time’ – hooray) and always incorporates the chance for mums to talk about their babies, to tell their babies how much they love them (expect tears at this point…from the mamas) and a visit from the Toptots puppet Tom-E. There’s also music time, exercise, parachute, gross motor activity and creative time where you might be digging for dinosaurs in a tub of rice, bubbles, feathers or jelly!
