Dubai Goes Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
If things have started looking extra rosy to you lately, it’s not the humidity finally getting to you: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month worldwide. While that definitely means you can expect to be surrounded by lots of pink stuff for the rest of the month (not that we don’t love pink here at Sassy Mama), it also means there are tonnes of great initiatives going on across Dubai to raise both funds and awareness about this disease that affects so many women around the world. Oh and when was the last time you got checked mama? Do it now.
Tickled Pink – Make Your Beauty Treatments Count
Elemis Pro Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm

We’re big fans of this balm (perfect for any mamas who lack sleep) and we’ll be stocking up big time this month. Also comes with a ‘pretty in pink’ mini tablet case that’s ideal for carrying (not losing) your mobile phone.

N Bar Mani/Pedi With A Little Education On The Side
The fabulous peeps at N Bar have developed a set of educational graphics that will be on display in the branches and shared on social media – so you can enjoy your mani/pedi while learning a very important thing or two. The aim is to educate women on the self-examination process so they know how to detect the early signs of breast cancer. #NBarEducation
We all love to indulge in a little (or a lot) of retail therapy. And when there’s a good cause involved? Well then we love it all the more.
Tips and Toes

No clue how to use a sewing machine but still want to help? No problem! Go along for moral support or volunteer for stuffing and cutting – there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

If pink’s not your colour, mama, consider making a donation to a charity that supports medical research or current cancer patients in the UAE.
