Oh, Baby: A Very Stylish Baby Shower!

Baby showers. Get them right and the mama-to-be can feel like the queen she is but opt for cheesy games and tacky décor and it’s a whole other story. Stylist Jessica at Lace In The Desert (check out her Instagram page for plenty of inspo) used her skills to create a beautiful baby shower with not a plastic pacifier in sight…

It was an absolute joy to style and plan Katherine’s baby shower; an intimate garden soirée. I wanted the table to be elegant and chose a muted colour palette with gold accents. The Lace In The Desert brand new golden edged plates from Bali were the first piece of tableware to be chosen and it all flowed out from there. Using our brass planters and bud vases, Bliss Flowers did the most wonderful job of bringing my floral vision to life – whimsical, natural and abundance of textures.

I designed some simple menus and name cards, finishing off the name cards with gold leaf which was so much fun but oh so messy! Innovative Hiring have a brilliant selection of furniture hire and I especially loved their new hairpin tables and directors chairs which fitted the garden location perfectly.

As finishing touches, I designed some signs and used some of the brand new collection from White Moss for some final accents. Yummy catering from Picnic Basket ensured everyone was well fed and The Party did a wonderful job at bringing my cake topper idea to life.
