Our Travel Mama and Travel Counsellor Andrea has recently returned from a break at Club MEd Opio en Provence and is convinced that going all-inclusive is one of the best options for a family holiday
Why choose an all-inclusive holiday when you can book any type of beach, island, mountain or city break vacation anywhere in the world? Here are my reasons for considering an all-inclusive holiday…
1. Value for money and less stress
This is one of the best reasons to book an all-inclusive holiday. Not only are there great deals to be got on these kinds of packages but once you’ve paid for all your food and beverages and activities, there is little else you would need to pay while in-resort.
Also there’s less stress about finances as you know in advance what your holiday is going to cost so there is no worrying about the budget while on the actual trip.
2. Save time on your holiday research
Research on holidays takes up a lot of time! Ask anyone planning a vacation especially when there are children to consider. You need to look at flights, quality of accommodation at resorts, transportation, activities and tours. This can take up to days and sometimes, weeks of planning.
This is where booking an all-inclusive holiday has its distinct advantages – one travel consultant will guide you through all the components of the trip, answering any queries and then helping with the actual booking.
3. Something for everyone and activities for all
All -inclusive resorts like Club-Med make it their business to keep guests active and entertained during their stay. During the day you can indulge in sports like golf, tennis while the children stay busy with kids clubs. The entertainment during the evenings consist of themed nights, music and theatre shows and quiz nights.
And if it’s a resort such as the Club Med Opio en Provence, you’re in for and additional treat by way of ‘Creactive’ a concept born out of a collaboration with Cirque de Soleil. Guests – adults and children, can participate in trapeze and other acrobatic experiences as part of the package.
4. Less packing and unpacking on the trip.
If you’re a parent of at least one child, you will instantly see the benefit of this kind of holiday. Families tend to book a minimum of 5 to 7 nights at an all-inclusive resort. This means that you unpack once and then pack only at the end of your stay, saving you the hassle of repeated packing and unpacking in the space of a week’s travel.
5. Learn a new sport
While there are several travel providers that offer all-inclusive, I personally love the Club Med resort brand – this is because their core ethos is to employ ‘Gentil Organisers’ who take an active interest in their guests and their resort activities. Water and wind sports are generally included in the package while children learn to surf, snorkel and swim as well!
Other fun sports that are included in their packages are archery, tennis and golf – what better way for your children to pick up new skills and learn new sports than while on holiday!
