Flying with Confidence: British AirwaysFlying with Confidence Course by British Airways

Do you wish to conquer your fear of taking to the skies? Has flying with the fam been difficult? Led by pilot and trainer Captain Steve Allright, three hours of seminars are designed to offer attendees the first significant step towards conquering their fear and possibly cure them completely, which will cover all the technical aspects of flying as well as the psychology and physiology of fear.

When: Saturday, 15 October (9:30am-3pm)
Where: The Capital Club in DIFC
How much: Full day course at AED1,499 (lunch and refreshments included)

‘THE BEACH’ season is back with their new additions, The Carnival and The Market for families to enjoy in the cooler months! The Carnival, which opened on 1 October, features a variety of rides and arcade games, alongside vibrant stalls, in a relaxed family-friendly setting. Shop til’ you drop at The Market, which is segmented into two categories: ‘Eat Later’, featuring packaged food for convenience on the go, and ‘Bits and where you can find Pieces’, authentic trinkets, accessories, jewellery and one-of- a-kind pieces.

When: The Carnival opens daily from Saturday, 1 October; The Market opens daily from Saturday, 15 October

Dubai Mall MarinaFamily Market on Dubai Marina Promenade

Roll up, roll up! Head to Dubai Marina on Saturday afternoon and peruse over 70 tables of Arts & Crafts, clothes, shoes, flowers, home decor, handmade items and more! There’ll be musical entertainment plus clowns, a henna, pop-corn, candy floss, coconuts and African Drummers too. And once you’re all shopped out, go boat spotting and wandering along the waters edge with the kids – perfect.

Yoga in Dubai: Mother & Daughter yoga in Al BarariMother & Daughter Yoga at Al Barari

Ommm…it’s time to grab some quality time with your little girl with a fabulous mama/daughter yoga session at Al Barari. A trip to this desert oasis is relaxing enough as it is (if you haven’t been yet then head over – and be prepared for a beautiful lush, green landscape). Yogi, Carla Julian, will take you and your little through Yoga asanas, Pranayama (breathing exercises) and lots of fun strengthening and coordination sequences in a mindful approach. Each pose can be modified for varying levels of flexibility and strength so it doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a pro!
