HOORAY – it’s finally the weekend, mamas! With shopping at The Design Bar, plus a fab ballet show (making performance accessible for all), there are plenty of family opportunities happening in Dubai over the next couple of days…

The Design Bar

The Design Bar is a new concept that aims to bring novel and eclectic concepts in to our lucky homes! The event’s gorgeous displays are calling all buyers and mama shoppers on the hunt for a personal home pick-me-up. Speaking of gorgeous displays, we are in love with their Byron bay Hanging Chairs. An absolute dreamy element to any area (outdoor or indoor)! We can’t wait to check out what’s in store…

Ballet Performance for Children with Special Needs

This year The National Ballet School is holding a performance specifically for children with special needs and their families! We love that they are opening the art of dance to as many people as possible, by creating an environment where children with different needs feel safe (the house lights are dimmed, and the music is a little quieter). Families are, of course, free to make noise, and move around as they need!

When: Friday, 13 May, from 2pm
Where: Madinat Theatre, Jumeirah Beach Road, Dubai, UAE
How much: Free!

FREE Rainbow Pancakes before Ramadan

Eggspectation is ready for Ramadan! During the month of May and the first week of June, Eggspectation is offering two FREE rainbow pancakes with the purchase of (most) selected beverages. Bring your friends and family and get rainbow stackin’! The more people, the higher the rainbow stack. Fun, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth piles of sugary goodness? Yes please! This is definitely one that the little ones won’t be able to get enough of… Just be prepared to try mastering the recipe at home!

James and the Giant Peach Family Show

Travel halfway around the world in a giant peach full of friends, music and laughter with Roald Dahl’s classic tale! Catch the last show this Friday, and follow James and his friends through a storyy that will definitely keep the little ones on their toes! With colourful costumes and props, you can be sure there’ll be plenty of drama and excitement to leave the whole fam entertained.

Ripe Food and Craft Market

In case you hadn’t already heard, we are huge fans of Ripe, and their markets are always a dreamy day out. So why not head over and spend your morning picking fresh, organic, local fruits and veggies from their Ripe Organic Stall? Perfect. As usual, the whole community is getting involved, with more than 100 local businesses, including the best foodies, artisans, designers, jewellers entertainers!
