March Edition: This Month Sassy Mama Is…

Family LifePost Category - Family LifeFamily Life

A mini guide to what we’re doing and loving this month!

Annabel Karmel’s ‘Busy Mum’s Cookbook’ – the latest in one of our very favourite children’s chefs is a book geared towards family cooking made easy and I love it! From ’20-Minute Recipes’ to ‘ Six ingredients’, ‘Lunchboxes And Snacks’ and ‘Entertaining’ plus loads more, each of the 100 recipes has been put together with the simple aim of making cooking less of a chore and more of a pleasure. There aren’t endless lists of complicated ingredients or baffling cooking methods (hooray) and the photographs are so good that you’ll be desperate to get in the kitchen (honestly) especially when you come to her ‘Raspberry And Prosecco Jellies’.

While this gorgeous little boutique in Jumeirah specialises in beautiful bras for larger busts (sadly not mine), their range of sleepwear is so cute (and wearing old t-shirts and husband’s boxer shorts just isn’t ok anymore) and they do feeding bras that don’t look like something from the 1940’s – plus they’ll also measure you up properly –  even if you aren’t buying in store – so that you know what bra size you should be going for (turns out I’ve been wearing the wrong one for years – possibly a case of wishful thinking). Not able to pop in? Check out their website.

Ourselves to Frrrozen Hot Chocolate, Foot Long Hot-dogs and every other comfort food or treat you could possibly ever want at Serendipity 3 in Dubai Festival City – sibling to New York’s iconic hotspot that’s long been a celeb fave and even the subject of a very cute rom-com. A slice of the big apple (pie) right here in the desert.

For a reservation at the Anantara Salalah Al Baleed Resort, set to open this summer just in time for the ‘Khareef’ season which not only offers lush greenery but also cooler temperatures – perfect when life in the city gets too hot to handle. Set in the Dhofar Governorate in Southern Oman, known for having some of the best beaches in the GCC, there’ll be an awesome looking kids club complete with splash park, stunning rooms and villas with private pools (the perfect family option). And of course, being Anantara, there’ll be a gorgeous spa for mama to enjoy.

On workout gear from Gap’s new GapFit range (exclusively available at Dubai Mall) that’s as good for the school-run (don’t pretend you don’t know that trick) as it is for the next fitness sesh. Gorgeous greys and slimming blacks with pops of pink, slivers of mesh – the tees with cut-out backs are a personal fave and the leggings so comfy they’ve become an almost daily go-to – plus it’s totally affordable! Put the range to the test at a barre class at Motion Fitness in Jumeirah – one of the cosiest little workout spots I’ve found in the city, complete with courtyard style garden and juice bar.

Have a fabulous March mamas!
