With Fortnum & Mason’s 2 year Anniversary, and the Ministry of Science show live in Dubai, here are our top family events to keep you and your family busy this week…

Join in the party at F&M’s beautiful Ground Floor Terrace, for an afternoon of special activities, live music and delicious food. With face painting for the kids, biscuit decorating for the fam, and biscuit eating for the mamas, there is plenty to look forward to! And if you’re still not sold, their ice cream station and picnic lawn should do the job. The littles can also participate in a special competition to win sweet treats and plenty of prizes. Whilst you’re there, pick up a Fortnum’s hamper – perfect for al fresco dining.

Kids HQ Dubai

YaYa Vitamins and Kids Free Play

Make sure the kiddo brings along an empty bottle of YaYa vitamins, and sit back and relax as they enjoy two hours of free play at Kids HQ – woohoo! A perfect few hours for mamas, papas and the little ones! While the little ones get to let off steam for two hours, parents can put their feet up with a well-deserved coffee in Kids HQ’s café. Done deal. With plenty of juice for the kids, complimentary coffee for the parents, and popcorn (to share?), we can’t wait to make the most of playtime.

YAW - Dubai Art Season 2016

Dubai Art Season

Art is in the air, mama! For two whole months, our desert city will be enveloped in artistic and cultural activities, celebrating the talent and creativity of artists from all over the world – whilst still recognising Dubai’s growing importance in the global art scene. They are promising that this year is bigger and better so make sure you catch it! Showcasing the city’s artistic talent in synchrony with UAE’s 2016 “Year of Reading”, the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature is headlining the event. Time to check out all that cultural creativity!

Looking to make education fun and interactive? Science meets the stage at DUCTAC this Wednesday! This show demonstrates the power of scientific discovery through the ages! Back by popular demand… Expect lots of explosive drama (and chemistry!) on stage – as well as noisy and messy demonstrations to explain a range of scientific theories! Get the kids involved and let them take part in some of the (safe) experiments, and let the stage make science fun!

Ripe market Dubai

Ripe Food and Craft Market

In case you hadn’t already heard, we are huge fans of Ripe, and their markets are always a dreamy day out. So why not make the most of the last days of not-crazy-hot weather and spend your Friday mornings picking fresh, organic, local fruits and veggies from their Ripe Organic Stall? As usual, the whole community is getting involved, with more than 100 local businesses, including the best foodies, artisans, designers, jewellers entertainers and musicians in town. The Ripe Market also has arts and crafts available, so bring the littles along!
