If you’re not into faking it & you’re after the real deal, we’ve got the best spots to pick up your tree mamas!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas (with only 32 sleeps to go and the weather cooling we can almost hear Santa’s bells already!). If you feel its too early to be thinking about Christmas, then think again as the best trees often sell out fast. And we can’t think of a better way to transform our home into a winter wonderland than with a gorgeous tree and a heap of festive accessories. It’s time to deck those halls by starting with the best places to snap up a Christmas tree in Dubai (exciting times!).
psst… remember to keep your tree standing in water and away from sunlight to maximise on freshness!
If you stumble through the aisles at Ace Hardware and into a forest in Narnia, don’t worry mamas – it’s just their massive Christmas tree selection. Skip past the artificial aisle and follow your noses to Ace Hardware’s real fir trees (which just recently arrived!). Shipped from North America, if you’re one of the lucky mamas who pre-ordered in mid-November then you’re guaranteed one of these babies. However you might as well try your luck and see if there are any still in stock!

Head to ‘Plant Street’ (that’s Al Hudaiba Street for anyone who hasn’t been) and take your pick from a number of little stores displaying their real trees on the pavements. If you’re really determined you’ll be able to haggle these guys down to a decent price although be prepared for some serious negotiation skills! Prices range anywhere from AED 350 to AED 700 depending on how lucky you are on the day. We love the Satwa option with the kids – many of the stores have large areas out back that are literally transformed into miniature evergreen forests for the festive holiday – if you close your eyes and breathe in the pine-scented air you can almost forget that you’re in the middle of a desert.
With a number of Spinneys supermarkets across Dubai, you’ll be happy to hear that they’re flying in a select number of Christmas tree straight from the USA to the desert city! Available now with free home delivery this year (but hurry they’re selling fast), treat your family to a festive fir this holiday season. And if you’re after a fresh pine wreath for your door then look no further – Spinneys are selling them at a special price too.
With every fresh tree they sell Spinneys will be planting a Ghaf seed (in association with The Give a Ghaf Tree Planting Program By Goumbook).
