IMAGINE: A Summer Camp With A Difference at DUCTAC

We all know that summer can get a little hot and a little long – especially with the kiddos out of school. Worried? Don’t be, Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre (DUCTAC) has come to the rescue with the IMAGINE Kids Summer Art Camp, a 6 week all singing, all dancing (and all painting, crafting, performing – you get the picture) summer camp to keep 5 – 11 year olds busy and very very happy.

DUCTAC is a non-profit, cross-community creative centre located right in Mall of the Emirates and is THE destination for theatre-lovers, designers, and artists in Dubai with a whole heap of fab facilities including a 543 seat theatre, visual arts gallery, dance studios, art studios and much more. It truly is a cultural power-house in the desert! Plus it is home to the Old Library, which is a Sassy Mama favourite haunt for keeping the kids entertained in the heat.

The IMAGINE summer camp offers 5 more weeks of cultural dynamite for little minds and is all about unlocking their imagination, building confidence and developing skills in movement, art and design. Lucky kids attending will get to enjoy everything from physical activities including yoga, dance and art & body movement, studio based activities including fabric, glass and canvas painting a well as pottery and performance art and older campers will have a go at printmaking and design techniques.

Art is a serious matter at DUCTAC and they show it by getting the very best people in to teach your kids. Each step of the way little campers will be guided by talented artists, musicians, sculptors and industry professionals including none other than Rania Naccour (Al Jazeera Children’s Channel) who will get your little darlings moving and grooving .
