Here’s Why You Should Consider Oaktree Primary School

Choosing a school isn’t easy, especially with so many options and a billion differing opinions. How do you know what school is best for your child? Well, we’d say that good old-fashioned instinct goes a long way – as does the ethos of a learning establishment and those special little extras that will help make your little people well-rounded and, most importantly, happy.

Oaktree Primary School is just celebrating its first birthday but is already gaining an awesome reputation – and for good reason. First up, Principal Chris McDermott and his team have years of experience leading some of the best schools in Dubai and the UK and have combined their talents to offer an innovative and modern approach to education. We’re talking native language classes for French, Russian and Spanish speaking children, woven into each school day at no extra cost, small class sizes of up to 20 at Foundation Stage Level and up to 25 from Year 1 to Year 6 and a Flexible FS programme that’s perfect for parents who aren’t sure about full-time school for their little nursery graduates (with the option of moving to a full week whenever you feel ready). Perfect. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday or full time and cost is pro rata. This means they cover all core curriculum subjects and still get to have fun during the week. The perfect transition between home and school or nursery and school.

And it doesn’t end there – this small community school is all about supporting families wherever possible. The fees are very reasonable and there are scholarship options to explore too (simply ask the Registrar, Sam Bartolini, for details) plus sibling discounts and flexible payment plans. More details about these options can be obtained by contacting the school.

A ‘happy school’ and a ‘village within a city’ with a focus on remaining small and unique while striving for success; this is precisely what primary education should be about – it’s no wonder that Oaktree Primary has got so many mamas talking. Want to check it out for yourself? Every day is an Open Day at Oaktree, so get in touch and arrange a tour – because trusting your gut instinct is the best way to see if this super school is the best one for your child.
