A Weekend Of Tales: Story-telling with Gap and “Wanna Read?”

You can visit any Gap store in the UAE to donate money which will be used to purchase books for the ‘Wanna Read?’ libraries AND you can get your kids involved through storytelling sessions both in English and Arabic at selected stores (see below for details) where heaps of different books will be brought to life, the perfect way to entertain the kids during the heat and the perfect reason to visit the mall (yes and to check out the latest collections too).
Oh and just to highlight that giving theme, Gap are offering the first 50 shopppers who spend AED 350 during the events a discount of AED 100. Fabulous. See you there?

Improvised Kids’ Storytime at The Courtyard Playhouse
If your kiddos enjoy bossing around adults (and we can think of a few at home that definitely do) they will love this improvised kid’s story time at the Courtyard Playhouse in Al Quoz. The kids will boss around the grown-up actors as they battle to tell the best story, with plots including a car chase, a spooky house, a pirate story or even a puppet show – all with the help of balloons, boxes, bubbles, bananas, toilets, gorillas, toys and puddle-jumping! Suitable for kids between 4 and 11 years old, it offers fun for the whole family!
When: Friday 9th – 11am or 12.15pm

Fancy a trip to the movies, Mama? Beat the heat by booking tickets for the kiddos to new release Deep, which has just arrived in cinemas across the UAE. It’s all about a future world where humans have abandoned the earth and oceans have risen – and a brave octopus is forced to find a new home. We have it on good authority that it’s a lot of fun to watch – and with most cinemas serving food and drink during Ramadan, you can feed the kiddos (and yourself if you aren’t fasting) too!
When: Various times
Where: Cinemas nationwide
How much: Prices vary
Forget expensive trips to the mall to stock up on baby clothes, toys, and accessories for your bumps or littlies – and head to Baby Bazaar instead. Happy shopping Mamas!
