It’s Time To Splash, Slide & Swim At These New Water Play Spaces, Mamas!
I don’t know about you but there’s only one place I like to be when it’s sooooo hot outside – and that’s in water! While the sea is still a gorgeous temperature, the sand is heating up fast so we’re heading to some of Dubai’s brand new water fun areas to cool off. From splash pads to full on water slides, lazy rivers to in-water lounges and even an indoor water play space for when you really can’t handle the outdoors, here are 4 watery spots to add to your list of must visits this summer.

Hidden away in Al Quoz (just near Limetree cafe – perfect for a coffee stop en route!), Blue Wave Dubai has two temperature controlled indoor swimming pools for swimming lessons AND a brand new Splash Island indoor aqua park that’s perfect for splashy fun at all times of the year. Open to kiddos aged between 18 months and 12 years (under 5’s need to be accompanied by an adult in the water), they’ll be able to burn off energy, have an absolute ball and keep cool too – perfect!
Open 10am – 9pm daily
Cost: AED 95 per child (this is regardless of if you go for an hour or for the whole day...)

The much anticipated Laguna Waterpark opens its doors (and slides!) at La Mer this weekend and is guaranteed to become a firm fave with families, chill-seekers and sports lovers too. With four distinct zones – Splash, Slide, Surf and Relax (there’s a hang-out that includes a pool lounge with swim-up juice bar and cabanas…), entry will open with a fab launch offer of just AED 99 for residents and AED 159 for non-residents with unlimited re-entry. Laguna Waterpark will feature a central Water Slide Tower with five awesome rides; a comprehensive family zone with AquaPlay and Splash Pad; a WaveOz 180 Florider for surfing; a Lazy River; Pool Lounge; Cabanas; food & beverage kiosks and a merchandise store. Families can laze the days away meandering down the Lazy River or get lost in the magical AquaPlay – the Splash Pad sounds ideal for really little ones.
Open 10am – 8pm daily
Cost: From AED 99 per person per day

Splashers Island is a brand new area opening this weekend which has been specially designed for the little ones at Aquaventure Waterpark, Atlantis The Palm. With climbing frames, hanging bridges, water canons plus opens and closed slides (there are exact replicas of The Cyclone and The Boa, some of Aquaventures most popular slides but this time made mini for kids!). Home to 7 new water slides, this new expansion offers families with kids 1.2m and below the ultimate water themed attraction.
Open 10am – 6pm daily

Did you know that XPark Jr, the gorgeous outdoor playscape just off Kite Beach, also has some gorgeous water features that are perfect for splashing in?! There’s a water fountain in which little ones can run and splash but also two rocky ‘streams’ in which kids can float handmade toy rafts, splash about and cool off from the sun.
Open 8am -6pm daily
AED 45 per child (including one adult) for two hours of play
